Just a follow-up on the Clemson thing.

The prayerful person was not someone from the campus...he was an outsider who was soliciting in an area not set aside for that purpose.

The issue isn't about prayer, but about the broader issue of allowing anyone from outside the college to solicit for anything wherever they want.

If you want to argue that praying christians should be permitted to solicit anywhere on campus, then you also have to permit any other group or individual the same right.

In this case, the University had set aside areas where people could solicit or proselytize. This is probably to preserve areas where students can study or meet out of doors without threat of disruption....even when I attended university there were limitations on where groups could set up or soap box speakers could speak.

So why didn't this guy just use that area? To prove a point? Maybe he didn't know?

Well this ought to put Ben's pecker on point lest he thinks that Clemsom is some kind of uptight PC haven.

Clemson is a PUBLIC (land grant) university. IOW, keep the fucking freak to your damn self. It's not a private university and it's not a religious university. I for one am damn sick and tired of xians SHOVING their fucking religion into the public square and enshrining their religious beliefs into law. If they want their theocracy so damn bad, they can pack up and move to Iran. Then they can have the fucking holy war that they want so damn bad.

The 1st grants freedom of religion. It also grants me freedom FROM religion.
