Yeah. I mean, who cares about personal responsibility. All drugs are bad.

No, just the ones that are well-known to ruin lives, and cause dependency and severe health problems or death. Cocaine would fall under that category.

You also can't do the most addictive drugs in moderation. I've never heard of a social crack-smoker.



I used to be against weed, too until I read the scientific studies on it showing that it's much less harmful to the body than even alcohol is.

It absolutely does NOT compare to any of the other drugs it's currently scheduled with. I'm 100% in favor of treating it like alcohol and legalizing it; Legalization would also run a lot of the drug cartels that traffic cocaine out of business, too.

I used to like doing cocaine in a social situation. But I could see my use could get out of control as I was usually already drunk when I did it. One night a friend and I were still doing bumps and every one was passed out. My heart was just pounding and I could feel it throughout my whole body. I thought my heart was going to explode never felt anything like that even though I was wasted I knew it wasn't good.
We both looked at each other and say "nah" and that was the end of my casual regular use.

Coke is still very popular, good grade coke is a fine buzz. Not crack but coke. Its popular in the music scene, drag queens don't do less now then they did in the 90's, ravers if they can afford it, hipsters or those in the "look at me" I'm rich set .... but its hard to control. Stay clear of it, plus it will break you if not first psychically then financially. To bad its fun on occasion but far to risky to fuck up your life in many ways. Thats some serious FUBAR. Bad dog heal!

Tried some shitty Idaho coke a few times. Didn't do much for me. Made the mistake of trying meth too. Was hooked on that shit for 4 months. Glad I got off it cause it was quit or die type shit. Yuck. I'll only do it in a social setting with trusted friends. I was on vacation a few years ago in LA, for a friends birthday party and someone brought coke. The drug really broke down our barriers and made us confess things that we were holding back. In a weird way it was the ultimate ice breaker.

I've done coke a few times. It made me feel all "sparkly" for a short time, then a let down. That's what makes you want more and more, to keep getting the "sparkly" feeling back.
But one thing that it did that was a dealbreaker was it caused a nasty chemical taste as the crap ran down the back of my throat. "Uppers", or diet pills, do that too. Plus, I am naturally jittery, so it's not a good drug of choice for me.
I prefer opiates. Every now and then my knee will flare up and my doc will give me Vicodin. Kills the pain, and gives me a nice 'glow' at the same time. If I was born 150 years ago, I'd probably be a Laudanum user. And pot. Pot is good.

Where I am today is not where I was a few years ago, people change and grow and learn from mistakes. I'm just glad I safe, having fun, and being young and stupid, so I grow from that.

I'm glad i experimented, nothing ever became an addiction or life threatening. I choose to partake in cocaine use on my terms with close friends, and I wanted to form my own opinion.

When I was young and dumb I tried a lot of the illicit type substances. I was never addicted to any of it, and I gave all that up in the last Spring of 1999.

When I started having bad Migraines and Neurological Problems, the damn pain medication the doctors gave me was some of the most whacked out shite I had ever taken compared to the street drugs I used.

One of my best friends in high school was addicted to heroin.

Like others have said, drugs that are instant-hook, fuck you for life are heroin, meth, crack.

I'm not saying coke isn't addictive, but it's not like EVERYONE who does it once or even a few times or occasionally is magically addicted right away. It's not heroin.

And personally I've never done it and don't plan to, it doesn't sound appealing to me at all. Besides, there's MDMA now.

My stepfather used to give me cocaine in my teens. He was molesting me. I don't think I would have tried it on my own. I never liked drugs.

Cocaine itself is actually still used in nasal surgery as an anesthetic. When someone needs cotton up their nose, i've heard that ER doctors will actually put cocaine on gauze and just jam it in their nose as hard as they can until it's all the way up there.


Cocaine's a helluva a drug.
