Yes that is a hafada but also known as a "ladder". I only one hafada and love it! You can do it yourself but make sure you use sterile equipment and expect some bleeding. Use a flashlight once you clamp the skin to make sure you are not going through any heavy veins to avoid excessive bleeding. If you are the least bit squimish come out of pocket and see a professional piercer.

I know it varies from person to person, but for me nothing worse than a mosquito bite, and it didn't itch afterwards. Not a huge deal at all.

I've also heard from others that things other than the PA were worse, but I can't verify that.
 
It happens so fast, it's over before you really have a chance to react. It's not a big deal, as far as pain goes...
It's a little sore for a while and then it's just cool.
Best not to think too much about any possible pain...it's not as bad as you might think...and it's over fast.
If you want a PA the pain isn't an issue...just go for it.
