at least at the BAFTA awards. His role as the gay professor in "A Single Man" won't win at the Oscars but I'm so happy that he was recognized at least at home.

I haven't seen the film yet, but it is very high on my list.

I was pleased he got an award for A Single Man.

Can't wait to see him in the movie - I keep reading that it has been the best performance of his career. I'm looking forward to it.

It's a great movie, not one to miss.

Don't get me wrong I LOVE LOVE LOVE COLIN and I loved him in that movie, but I really don't think the acting was THAT great like everyone is raving.

With that said, this movie was so well done, that you could've had the very worst actors possible and it still would have worked and it still would have been beautiful.

I'm delighted for him and I really enjoyed the movie.
However, Vanessa Redgrave getting the fellowship... What pure class. A joy to watch. I was applauding wildly from the couch!

I was glad to see this as well.

He doesn't have enough clout in the industry to win an Oscar yet, but his performance was every bit as good as Bridges and Clooney.

How the hell do you know this?

I'm really, really hoping he wins, so don't rain on my parade.

They can't really give an Oscar to Jeff Bridges. I mean - Jeff Bridges?

They can and will.

And did you see his performance?

Honestly -- they are not going to give to men portraying gay characters two years in a row. I think there is enough residual homophobia to prevent that from happening.

Plus, Hollywood is run by sentimentality and it's Jeff Bridges "turn."

Hung just 'de' hibernated and is till groggy from his cave time...

Be gentle, the music that soothes his savage beast will soon play up

and as you know, an awake hungry bear is a friendlier hungry bear.

btw HBB, Colin was FIRTH in his class on this one. :rotflmao:--%--:wow:

Colin Firth is one very talented and very good looking British actor. I've seen a lot of his movies, and wouldn't be surprised if he wins the Oscars someday. He hasn't won it yet, has he?
