I thought there was already a documentary about the Spice Girls out...

Called Spice World if I'm not mistaken...

:p

enough with reunion tour!

DO A WHOLE NEW ALBUM & TOUR WITH THOSE SONGS!
I LOVE THE SPICE GIRLS & HEADLINES & VOODOO ARE NOT ENOUGH WE NEED A 10 OR 12 OR 14 MOR SONGS !! COME ONE GIRLS !!!!

i cant believe they're not making a real comeback & they said this reunion tour is basically a final bow =(

I actually had a dream that there was a new Spice Girls album full of new songs... sigh.

I have a feeling there will be a new album. With the exception of Melanie C and Geri, none of them have been particularly successful on their own. Plus, they seem to be having fun. I think they'll want to get back into it eventually.

The Spice Girls are cutting back their reunion tour "due to family and personal commitments." Summer concerts in China, South Africa, Australia and Argentina have been canceled; the trek will now end Feb. 26 in Toronto.

"Sadly the tour needs to come to an end by the end of February due to family and personal commitments for Emma, Geri, Mel B, Melanie C and Victoria," reads a statement from the group's publicist.

"It was announced in June that, as well as the Europe and the U.S., the girls planned to visit Australia, China, South Africa and Argentina. Due to the phenomenal demand for tickets in the U.K and the U.S. along with the touring logistics for such a massive production it was not possible to fit everything in."

"We want to thank everyone who came to see us," the group wrote on its Web site. "It was all so mad the first time round, so we've really been able to appreciate it properly this time."

Aw thats sad. Alot of people were probably giving their hopes up to see them in them countries.

I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of them. I fully expect to get an album from them in the near future.

^ No one ever OFFICIALLY calls off a tour, or cuts one short, due to poor ticket sales. The most common reason is "health concerns", although I've occasionally gotten "wish to devote time to work on their new album".

"Family and personal commitments"? That's a new one. What exactly does that entail?

"But, Mel, I already told the Johnsons we'd have dinner at their place the first of March."
"Oh, bugger. I guess we'll have to end the tour early, then."

There are already enough Human Rights issues in China without the Spice Girls playing there too.

I heard it was from poor ticket sales. No surprise there. It isn't 1996 anymore ladies.

poor ticket sales...please the majority of their tour was sold out. more and more countries wanted them to tour there but they had to cut it

i have a felling that they will continue during the summer. they have there families with them. i'm sure victorias and mel b's oldest children are missing alot of school. I'm just thankful that i got to see them in vegas in december.

Yeah all that is code for 'we're not a huge as we thought we'd be.' Good riddance to bad rubbish.

>>>poor ticket sales...please the majority of their tour was sold out. more and more countries wanted them to tour there but they had to cut it

Several sources, including Billboard, have stated that low ticket sales were the reason. They apparently sold extremely well in some markets, but extremely poorly in others.

They have 6-8 kids between the lot of them.

Victorias children has school commitments. Emma and Mel B JUST gave birth. It's believable that they'd cut the tour short when they weren't expecting to add dates in the first place.

I think it's admirable that they're putting their kids before thier careers.

The rumor I heard this morning was that they cut it short because Victoria wanted to go back into the fashion business full-time and also because Melanie C didn't want to do it anymore. Now, I didn't fully believe the part about Victoria because it went on to add that she also said she'd never perform with the Spice Girls or as a solo artist again. I doubt she'd make such a bold statement.

The part about Melanie C is more believable, though. According to the Giving You Everything documentary, she was the last one to agree to get back together in the first place and she was thinking of quitting the band permanently while they were making their third album. Plus, she's had the most success as a solo artist. However, again, I can't imagine she'd go so far as to cancel the rest of their tour for such a selfish reason...she should at least finish the tour for the sake of the fans before she blows off the Spice Girls forever.

So, I think it probably is just as simple as poor ticket sales and wanting to get back to their families. Like I said before, I fully expect them to release more music in the near future.
