Is it just me, or do people in the health profession say this a lot? I feel like the nurses at the doctor's office, the hygienists at the dentists, the receptionists at the chiropractor, etc. all say this.

This god me thinking: what a great title for a very specific cross-fetish porno. A doc/patient porn with cuming on the back as an added bonus for those into it. I'm sure there's a market, so has anybody gotten their act together and made it?

well it seems I am alone in this thought. It also seems as though I made the typo of writing "god" instead of "got." oops.

Maybe it's regional? I've never heard anybody say that out here, much less a healthcare professional. Of course, all the healthcare professionals I visit tend to discourage you ever coming back...gotta love those HMOs.

Re the porn concept, I like it. Though perhaps a restaurant might be a better milieu for the phrase.

Maybe I didn't make it totally clear what context this is being said around me. After waiting in the waiting room, someone comes in and calls your name, then instructs you to "come on back." As in, "come on back where the examination rooms are and you will be made to wait another hour and half."

pretty sure I've heard that before every kind of appointment I've had hahaha.

Oh! Ah. That makes more sense. I was thinking in terms of "Y'all come back now, y'hear?" But even so, I never heard it put that way. At all the doctors' and dentists' I've been to, someone comes out with a clipboard and hollers your name, and you leap out of your seat and trot obediently after them before the door closes.

So instead of regional, it must be architectural. In my experience, people lock themselves up, the "professionals" are guarded like Vestal Virgins and there's a basilisk behind the reception desk or a little window, denying entry. There's no "come on back," someone always has to let you in and escort you down the hall, lest you bother the doctor.

So, any casting ideas for this epic?

one of my worksites is an outpatient clinic .... when i call my next patient if i say something like that, other than the usual "howdy & how ya 'doin" ... i usually say "come on down" ... like on t.v. ...

and they get a good laugh and relax just a bit ... which is good for what's coming next ....
