Was wondering If anyone buys or has bought comedy albums, cd's etc.?
I remember back in the 70's owning Cheech & Chong's self-titled album....."Dave's not hear man"..........
and also"Los Cochino's" with the hit song "Basketball Jones" on it and of course had the 45 record of their most famous song......"Earrache My Eye!"
I think I just got a buzz from the memories of those reefer smokin' days!!!

I also bought and still have the only comedy album from SNL....some skits from the first season I believe!?!

In the 80's I had Eddie Murphy's 'Comedian" album but that is the last comedy album I bought!

I guess now days it's all about watching the comedian in concert on DVD!

MAN I FEEL OLD!!!!

I rember many fun times listening to Bill Cosby, Bob Newhart, etc. Bette Midler even put out a comedy album, I guess the last one I ever bought. I also loved the National Lampoon's Radio Dinner album, it was hillarious!

If you are going to listen to a Cheech and Chong record it had better be "The Big Bambu". The Sister Mary Elephant routine is a classic.

I was always rather fond of the "Bailiff, whack his pee-pee..." routine. "Up his nose it goes..." was also very good, and then there was the visit of Sgt Stdanko to the Sister Mary Elephant Santana Street School to do his talk on narcotics.

There was also "Lemmings", the National Lampoon's take-off on Woodstock, which began with a number by the musical group, Freud, Marx, Engels, & Jung.

Yes.....Baliiif, whack his pee pee" was classic!!!!!!\:/
and who could forget Sister Mary Elephant or Blind Man Chitlin!..|

I used to listen to the Cheech & Chong comedy album (cassette, actually) when I was a kid, but that's the only one I can think of.

The rest have been DVDs:

Wanda Sykes, Lisa Lapanelli and Russel Peters released awesome stand-up DVDs last year, and Dane Cook's wasn't too bad either.

Cheech and Chong...Big Bambu..soooo many fuzzy memories. I remember using the giant paper back in 1979...when you could still afford to fill it. Still have 2 copies of the LP...one with the paper, one with out. "Let's Make A Dope Deal" will always be a favorite...Bob Bitchin was a major influence on me.Inspired me to become a candle maker...

Other faves include Lily Tomlin's "This Is a Recording",Sam Kinison's "Louder Than Hell" and George Carlin's "AM & FM"...

Hey Jadin - would love to do the ole `before my time ' routine... but I'd be a liar ! Thx for all that you contribute here !

The only comedy albums I've really liked recently are "Shut Up You Fucking Baby!" by David Cross, and "Strategic Grill Locations" by Mitch Hedberg. I do like old Bill Cosby and Nichols & May albums, too, though.

If you get a chance to hear anything by Lewis Black, take the chance...
