raspberries, gooseberries, blueberries, strawberries, currants, apricots, and any flavor of ice cream.

I love a nice hot bowl of Brunswick Stew!

So many:
Chicken Fried Steak with cream gravy and mashed potatos.
Meatloaf with mashed potatos.
Homemade chicken soup and noodles.
Warm, fresh baked bread with butter.

I'm surprised that most people went for salty food...

Hmm, on one of those days, I'd allow myself to have:

McDonald's oatmeal raisin cookies
McDonald's vanilla cone
cranberry walnut bread from Whole Food
Beard Papa's cream puffs
Green Tea ice cream from Sunrise Mart in Soho
Krispy Kreme donuts

and of course, a large cup of latte with whole milk and whipped cream!!!!! (and Splenda to balance out the sugar and carbs lol)................... -_-'

Oh, ice cream. First , last and always. ICE CREAM. Haagen-Daz vanilla, with coffee, chocolate, rum raisin and strawberry ice creams on the side.
However, since I am diabetic, I can only enjoy this is my dreams. Or on my birthday, and, drool, it's coming up soon.

Anything I cook!! I learned how to make Chicken Fried Steak & cream gravy on Paula's Home Cooking.
On the sweet side, Cannolis. Oh, and Chocolate Ice Cream with Marshmallow Fluff & sliced bananas......

When I was little and was sick with the flu or whatever and dietary intake was reduced to the ol' BRAT diet (bananas, rice, apple sauce, toast), the signal that you were going to live and the celebration to a normal diet was lamb chops, baby new potatoes, and tiny peas. Still one of my favorites. Other than that, give me carbs! Saw on Paula Dean's show a recipe for Krispy Creme donut bread pudding! Going to try that out this week!!!

My mom (rest her soul) would make for me, every single year that I can remember on my birthday, a big pot of homemade chicken and noodles.

I miss that :(

All the usuals:

Mac and cheese
Sphagettios and meatballs (yeah, I still love 'em... !oops! )
My Grandmother's tuna noodle casserole. (Damn it ! I watched her make
it a thousand times...It's just tuna, noodles and cream of mushroom soup, for pete's sake.....WHY can't I get it to taste the same ??? )

Strange that most 'comfort foods' are 'carb heavy'... Maybe someone is trying to tell us something....

Josh

most of the "comfort food" that i used to like makes me feel sick now

although mint chocolate pods are good

4 cheese mac & cheese that I make: sharp cheddar, mozzarella, pepper jack and smoked gouda.

...My favorite comfort food is probably a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup.

You do want a dill pickle spear with that, don't you??

My personal fave comfort food is homemade bean soup with a big wedge of french bread.
