[Irish Queer]

OK after saying I was getting Children's Crusade in TPB I buckle and picked up issues 5 and 6 my comic book shop is crap for back issues, as I accidently threw issue 1 out I got it again, I've also sent away online for issues 3 & 4. Must get issue 2 lol. I picked them up as it fear Itself and Schism all end around the same time and now on purpose for some reason.

-Wolverine and Cyclops go to a peace conference in order to show the world that Utopia should be considered a nation of its own and such jazz
-Kid Omega (aka Quentin Quire) shows up and makes all the world's leaders at the conference spill there darkest secrets out loud
-Wolverine and Cyclops stop Quentin but the damage is done and people are starting to fear mutants which causes a bunch of nations to bring their old dusty Sentinels out of storage
-Meanwhile some new kid named Kade Kilgore kills his drug kingpin father and becomes the new Black King of the Hellfire Club
-we find out also that Kilgore was the one who set Quentin Quire loose (how he got on Utopia and past Danger is beyond me)
-also, the Hellfire Club has removed all mutant members and is filled with other child geniuses
-back on Utopia, the X-Men are bracing themselves for the fallout of the conference and are going across the globe stopping rampaging Sentinel (since they're old as dirt and barely working)
-Wolverine for some reason starts to form a bond with Idie from Generation Hope since he's worried that her attitude of "being a mutant = being a monster" will lead her down a dark path
-meanwhile in San Francisco...Emma, Magneto, Namor, and the Generation Hope kids go to the opening of a mutant museum
-the Hellfire Kids show up and one by one the X-Men fall....to kids...leaving only Idie to save them
-Cyclops (with his jetpack) and Wolverine are on they're way to help but Cyclops knows they'll be too late and tells Idie to do what she must to save Emma and co.
Wolverine is pretty much screaming "NOOOOO" the whole time
-so Idie kills all the Hellfire Kids' grunts and saves everyone (the Generation Hope tie-in shows the event from Idie's perspective and its a LOT more graphic)
-Jetpack Cyclops and Wolverine finally arrive and Wolverine is pissed that Cyclops had Idie kill
-but all that squabbling is interrupted by the appearance of a huge ass Sentinel being formed over them

and that's where we're at with Schism now...I think we have 2 more issues or so...forgive me for paraphrasing like I did

Hellfire kids! Really! Hellfire Kids! The X-Men are going to split in two because of Hellfire kids! And Cyclops on a jetpack! WHAT! So what if idie has killed? Wolverine seems to be acting out of character!

I don't think he's acting out of character much, except for one minor detail...


He's all I'm your daddy now to Idie.

Kitty is all grown up, Rogue is in control and keeps company of just the people she would bang and Jubilee is a vampire so let's move on to another girl we can protect. He should be focusing on Jubilee again trying to help her overcome her recent change but no he wants a new little girl to play with.

I really hate the Lights.


And I hate this storyline... I hate the Hellfire Kids, especially Kilgore. I Quintin Quire because he's stupid and came from the Morrison run which I hated too.

Okay spoiler time

Uncanny X-Fprce: First and foremost. If U are a Psylocke fan, this is a must buy "Really The Entire Dark Angel Saga To Be Honest" Archangel A.K.A. the new Apocalypse is the most polite villain I seen in years with his minions being the Horsemen, Dark Beast, and Holocaust who scorched Wolverine badly. When Archangel and his comrades "He doesn't treat them like minions, but partners' are defeating X-Force, Psylocke, Deadpool, Fantomax, and Deadlok take an badly injured Wolverine and retreat only for Psylocke to stay behind with Archangel. That's all am giving away. Buy and read the book

Fear Itself The Deep 3 of 4: One of the better Fear Itself stories in my opinion. Anyways, Namor, Loa, Lyra, Dr. Strange, and Silver Surfer are dealing with the mind controlled Atlanteans as they try to find the source of the Atlanteans's behavior. While doing so, Silver Surfer encounters Tyrak The Terrible and defeats him while Loa and Dr. Strange find the one who is manipulating the Atlanteans. It turns out to be a Black Queen wannabe name... I really don't give shit just a Black Queen/Selene wannabe who Dr. Strange believed to have defeated only to be killed by Loa. Namor and friends morale builds up until they realize that Attuma still needs to be dealt with. To make matters worse, Attuma has been deemed a "Worthy"

OK I was thinking can we tie Age of X to Schism. Just take a moment to think we were told it would affect the main universe but I was asking myself how when nearly everyone wanted to wipe their memory of it expect really Frenzy. But what if AOX Wolverine and Balisik are coming through in the personalities of Wolverine and Cyck although Wolverine did fight he saw all the kids as Soldiers really fighting for their lives killing etc maybe he doesn't want this to happen and see integration more of a way to prevent it whereas Cyck sees this type of world coming and wants to prepare everyone for it. Just a theory.

Also WTF Havok on X-Factor, they better not be changing the concept, while I would like slightly more ingratiation with the X Factor time and the rest, I like that they are removed from the others. Although I can see why they would side with Wolverine I would prefer if they stayed out of it.

Ok get a lot of comics recently

GL 1 was good I thought it kept the previous story line but introduced new readers to this world although I have been keep track a lot through the net so that may have helped me.

This week GH Schism tie in explained to me why Idie sides with Wolverine. But I seriously think of dropping this book as truthfully I feel that all the kids need one book.
Schism still feels like a tiff not a war between Scott and Logan yes the Idie thing is there but over the years many young X-Men may have had to do what she did. I could be wrong so call me up on it.

Children's crusade was a bit filler but it did explain why Wanda got so powerful which I liked.

X-Factor still a solid read. Oh the Lyla story line has me hooked. Poor Star lol.

Ultimate X-Men I'll give a shot this was a prologue to an introduction I felt.

Buffy S9 kinda felt weird in parts like the last story line of S8 but it seems fresh and new. Angel and Faith I'll give an arc, good concept but it hasn't hooked me yet.

Oh God Fear Itself is awful seriously I feel like I need to be reading the tie ins to get the full story. I 1st issue was the best this has disappointed me.

Home Front has been solid in terms of Speedball's story's, I've skipped the rest, this is what the main comic needs to be doing.

Liked Uncanny as it used Fear Itself to tie in to Schism and post Schism. But still thought a fear itself tie in was unneeded.

Schism waste of an OK concept. I was left wondering why Logan can get on his moral high horse about the kids seriously the dude has kept X-Force going and exploited Warren in the process. Also as funny as I think the Hellfire kids are I still find it hard to take them seriously as creditable enemies to the mutant race.

I actually liked Schism and it's shaking things up in the X-Universe--hopefully for the better. I'm wondering where Xaiver is in all of this. It IS his school, so I'm assuming he'll be joining Wolverine in Westchester?

On another note, I'm kinda glad Fear Itself is over. It was an ok concept but was drug out way too long.

P.S. Anyone catch the ad with a giant phoenix raptor and "Coming 2012"? I'm ready to see Jean back, just hope they don't screw it up.

Quick question: What's the status of Rogue's powers right now?? Has she absorbed somebody else permanently?

I missed the days when she was tough and strong with Miss Marvel's powers.

I think the old Ms. Marvelized Rogue has been gone awhile - she is now without those abilities. But she IS in control of her power absorption now. Not sure exactly who she has in there with her - especially after Age of X - where she was Reaper and absorbed the powers and memories of mutants before they died to make sure they were remembered.

I could be wrong, but it appears to be that Rogue can only hold on to the absorbed powers for a certain amount of time. For instance, she absorbed one of Legion's powers to teleport in order to find Havok, Polaris, and Marvel Girl, but knew it might not last long enough to get them all home.

Next question: Is Nightcrawler alive? In some of the promos for the new X-teams, there is an awfully familiar pointed tail...

And while we're on the subject of dead X-men coming back to life, is Cable returning?

Cable is returning in an event tied with the Avengers, X-sanction I think it's called be out December I think. AOA Nightcrawler will be joining X-Force and there will be Nightcrawler babies running about the Jean Grey School in WAXM. Jason Aaron refuses to state why the babies are there though.
