It has become quite apparent to me how the equipment and technology in commercial vehicles can improve effectiveness while reducing operating costs.
I like the enthusiasm of Jay Iyengar (Oshkosh Corp.) despite the times I find it difficult to understand what she is saying.

If she means what she says then I agree with her. People in low paid jobs, refuse collection, fire fighting or parcel delivery for examples, deserve a well designed working environment just as much as anyone in a more fashionable role. The features she is selling may be gimmicky, but the point that matters is the attitude, that working class jobs can be made safer and easier using better specialised vehicles. Amen to that.

She has an Indian accent. I have colleagues who speak similarly and I can follow her (and them) without difficulty.

I don't know the national average, but sanitation workers in NYC make a lot. I applied but was turned down on account of being crazy.

My internet service from Comcast has degraded that I'm working with customer service via smart phone. I apologize for my absence.

Fire/Rescue/Sanitation commercial service can benefit from technology but all come with a hefty price tag. Public services of all types are asking residents to pay up.
