title says it all....2010...what shows have you seen...what are you planning on seeing or looking forward to seeing this year?

I started the year on New Years and my friends' show...local band...Keep Me Conscious (myspace.com/keepmeconscious) check em out...haha(seen them a few times this year)

I've seen after that so far:

La Roux/Yes Giantess
V.V. Brown/Ma'ayan Castel/Yeah Right

got coming up:

TONIGHT: 2am Club/Outasight/Chiddy Bang(way too excited for this....2am is one of my fav bands this will be my 4th time seeing them....Outasight is just sick and if Chiddy Bang actually makes it to the show they are fucking fantastic and one of my faves of the past year)

hopefully seeing Mayer Hawthorne next Sunday

V.V. Brown again w/ Little Dragon on the 28th
Foxy Shazham, Bad Rabbits and Young Veins on the 30th
Miike Snow and deloreon on the 31st!

I'm loving this month for shows....such great ones.....so what are y'all seeing?

I'm seeing my favorite band, AFI, for the first time ever next Friday. Going on a roadtrip with the friend who got me into them, appropriately enough. Needless to say, I'm shitting my pants over it. (!)

Seeing Muse & Silversun Pickups at Madison Square Garden this Friday and Spoon & Deerhunter at Radio City on the 26th. I may see Alice In Chains on the 8th at Terminal 5 but thats kinda up in the air, and besides is it really AIC without Staley? The new CD is pretty damn good though. The Whigs, Thom Yorke and Nada Surf are all coming to NYC soon and I really can't wait for My Chemical Romance to set some dates. But the show of the year for me will be the Metallica/Megadeth/Anthrax/Slayer one. It may be the end of civilization as we know it, and I wanna fucking be there.

Ive seen AFI live and your in for a good time. Its gonna be a weird year for them, a new Blaqk Audio CD is coming out later this year.

I wish I could see them. Assholes canceled their Baltimore show. Hopefully they'll come back to Baltimore or DC. Also, once the new Blaqk Audio album comes out, I hope they do a show in Baltimore or DC, too.

I've seen Kathy Griffin twice this year, and I plan on seeing Chelsea Handler, Lisa Lampanelli, Blue October, and We Are the Fallen opening for HIM. I'm also going to Shamrockfest in DC, which among other acts, will feature Butch Walker opening for Train.

That's it for planned shows. I'm gonna see The Birthday Massacre once they get their 2010 tour planned and announced. Hopefully P!nk will come back here for a full headlining tour after her European stadium shows are done.

Saw Grace Potter and the Nocternels(they have a song on the soundtrack of the upcomming Alice In Wonderland movie). Hope to see Billy Joel and Elton John in Fenway Park this summer and as always hope to see Jimmy Buffett (but it never seems to pan out).

I'm going to see Carrie Underwood here in Richmond. And I guess you can add I'm going to see 'Wicked' next month.

ooo love Grace Potter...saw her a few years ago at the Paradise. And sorry to burst your bubble but Billy and Elton aren't playing at Fenway anymore...read it in the Globe this morning, Billy said so himself, he made the decision last year that he wasn't playing any shows this year.

I went to see John Mayer at Madison Square Garden last week on the 25th and 26th of Feb.

Sarah McLachlan and Jon McLaughlin are expected to release new albums this year, so I'm hoping they tour. Not much else to look forward to unless other artists I like announce new album releases as well (namely James Morrison). Aqualung is coming to NYC soon, not sure about going yet

Sarah I believe will be out on the Lillith Fair this summer

Yep, it's coming back this summer. They're making a stop in NYC (no date yet), but not sure if she will even be on the line-up

I think she will most likely be the headliner of each show....that's how it used to be right?...it's a pretty stellar lineup I must say though

I hope that's the case :) the line-up is fairly balanced I would say. Although Sarah didn't get two artists she always wanted: Tori (then and still today) and Feist

So far this year I've seen:
The Village People
Capitol Steps
Sandra Bernhard
Upcoming shows I'm seeing:
Paul McCartney
Beatlemania
Chicago

I was gonna see Major Lazer but to many other acts in the show I wasn't trying too hear. So instead I'm gonna catch Mayer Hawthorne

Muse and Silversun Pickups next week!

Dude, saw them both at MSG a few weeks ago and all I can tell you is that you will remember it for a long long time. Muse live is not so much a concert as it is an experience, they are easily one of the best bands I have ever seen on stage. I saw them a few years ago when "Black Holes..." came out (with Cold War Kids opening, they get great supporting bands) and it was one of the best times I ever had, and they are even better now.

just got home from Foxy Shazam/Bad Rabbits/The Young Veins....Holy Shit! Such a fun, kick ass show(minus The Young Veins who were just blah). I've seen Bad Rabbits before and am a huge fan of theirs(if you don't know them LISTEN NOW)...they got the crowd all hyped up and of course being Boston, most of the sold out crowd was there for them. Foxy came out after them and just blew me away. wasn't a big fan of theirs when I first heard the songs from their debut 2 years ago...but LOVE their new album coming out next month. Their live show lived up to everything I had heard about it...so much energy...crazy acrobatics and hanging from pipes and jumping all over each other...it was great.

and not to mention during soundcheck lead signer Eric had a pretty nice bulge going and he grabbed at it quite a few times...and then once the set started I fell in complete lust with the horns player Alex.....mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I can't wait to see them! So excited! So far, Depeche Mode's concerts have been my favorite by a long shot, but this, I'm sure, will change that...|:gogirl:
