Done. I actually just ignored it thus far because at least Bender does have a thought or two or an amusing remark here and there, but now you're giving attitude, and ain'tnobodygottimeforthat.

Attitude on the internet?! Gasp! Who'da thunk it?

i have to get this off my chest. this is going to sound mean but i'm going to say it. i think a lot of the posters in the 18-24 year old group are extremely annoying and irritating. sometimes, i feel like telling them to shut the fuck up. some of them think they're too smart for their own good or that folks can't figure what they're about from the get go. it's too easy. all acting super annoying or whatever else.

As opposed to starting a thread to mock a woman with extreme facial deformities.

I rather have their young adult nonsense please.

The difference is any thread about something you don't care to read about, you can simply not read.

When they come into a thread where an actual discussion IS happening and then fill two pages with animated gifs back and forth at each other, that's really irritating to the people having said discussion.

I think it's more about posting styles. Personally, I admit I tend to be one of the dudes who post gifs after gifs but I do it knowing that the OP is fine with it. And that there is nothing much to discuss in the thread. It is wise for the posters to use the "no animated gifs" tag if they don't want an explosion of gifs in their threads.

Actually xbuzz is a nice dude and Cupid and Bender are nice dudes too. Can you all put this incident aside? I am sure once we get to know each other better, you guys will be great friends and all of you will put me on ignore.

I love reading forum drama; The more petty and immature, the better. :corn:

I've heard whisperings from the darkest recesses of the internet of an Enchanted thread that was white washed a few hours ago. Kinda upset at myself for missing it. :? Oh well.

P.S. Did he self-delete afterwards or was he banned again?

I confess that I like this pic..

Image

Why? What is it about the picture that makes you like it?

Ohhh poor you! It was great. He got banned and the thread is toast. Someone's probly got a screenshot if you can find them, Axxess

Someone complimented my writing today. And that got me thinking about something that happened on Twitter last weekend. I was a judge (among others) for a talent competition. After the Top 3 were announced, one person tweeted "How many times did Brad have to suck off Lex to make the top three?" It wasn't entirely clear if the tweet was meant humorously or with a mean streak. But I retweeted with a response:

"Nowhere near enough."

In retrospect, I'm exceptionally proud of that three-word response. I didn't confront the other guy. I didn't "take a stand". I didn't explain that (obviously) nobody had sucked me off. I didn't succumb to heavy self-deprecation. I kept things humorous, without making anybody a target. What could have been a flashpoint ended up being a oening "straight" line. Everybody laughed about it, several retweeted it, and life went on.

"Look how cool the gargoyle is" post complete.

I know you joke around a lot; I'm not without a sense of humor but you also post a lot of substance, too. Plus the battles between you and Lil Bit are most typically amusing text exchanges.

I simply don't get an entire thought or response being conveyed entirely through just a gif by itself, unless the gif itself has a message in it or something. I was honestly trying to get them to explain to me what's up with that because it's not that I'm an old man sitting here hating it because it's something young poeple do--- it's because I sincerely and honestly don't understand it. I've posted before in response to individual posts that were nothing but a gif saying I honestly don't even get what this post is saying. Most of the time I don't.

I like some 'gifs', it usually shows the poster put a little effort behind the post.

More thought than some of our other jubbers who think we should all kiss
their asses and conform to what They Like and Want.

The variety of the posters ad their posts is what makes this place. Yes, I
have people here that I dislike for various reasons. Yes, there are even 2
or 3 that think that way about me (SHOCK).
As I remember, each post has an identifying name, don't like that one...

Personally, I find some of the 'assholes' threads are the most fun ...

I'm not a narrow prude, lol. I just feel discussion forums are for discussion. It's literally like I said, I don't understand going to the bother of hitting reply if you have nothing to type. It's a little dramatic to box that in with someone flipping out over a typo or incorrect grammar or something.

Butt, youM ight get one hell of a Scroll jo[STRIKE]g[/STRIKE]B.

I am well known for sloppy typing. A blank reply post is like No Comment or enough said.

As to the other, most forums are here for the Pleasure of the membership. You are an

intelligent person, Most of this place is just a huge boarding house for personalities that
range from age 2 thru all but dead...lottsa rooms but no guarantee what/who you find in
those rooms...except a few rooms like F&G,

We even have trolls.

A lot of posters piss me off too. Mainly because it's so darn hard rebuking them when I really want to laugh or high-5 them! Some people really need to learn when someone is joking or being serious - and that no animals were harmed during the posting of a comment. :)

Everyone should be reminded that a pic is often (not always) "worth a thousand words" (according to conventional wisdom), and a 20 frame gif is often worth 20,000 words. So many people who limit a post to just a pic probably consider it as being the equivalent of 1,000 words.

To me, this pic of a small town hitchhiker is worth more than 1,000 words...

Let me guess, you are a closeted faggot who never intends to come out of the closet. Assuming what you say is true, prepare for your son to hate you. Was the rape worth that?

No worries, he doesn't know and will never find out.

Until he reviews the DVR for the hidden camera he installed in his room, to see whether you're snooping around in his stuff when he's away.

I almost never wash my hands before cooking... I figure, any germs are going to get burned off in the oven anyways.

(though I do wash my hands immediately after handling raw meat, before touching anything else. and usually wash off the faucet knob to boot)

^I'm going to nickname you Toby.

Typhoid Mary!

Just be sure not to do it before handling something you don't cook... salad etc.

Re: animated GIFs

I think that some people think better through pictures, and other people think better through words.

The only thing that really bothers me about the GIFs is that too many of them will crash a browser. I have my GIFs turned off for this reason.

(PM me if you want to know how to do this.)

The chokeup upon loading an over-laden page is definitely part of the annoyance.

So come on in and let your hair down a bit...like your avatar says

lol...

I have 1303 posts and I believe this is the 2nd time I've commented on it... so I do "deal with it."

I love how this thread is "confess something that might surprise others" and when animated gifs come up a bunch of nanny crusaders come out to protect it.

The GIF users don't bother me...sometimes they are funny, other times miss the mark. If it were just about everyone, that would be TOO much. Everyone's unique and contributes something of value here..|( unrepentant trolls excepted, of course)
