This thread is seeking the opinions of the JUBbers who post in the Hot Topics forum. Why is it not in the Hot Topics forum?
 
The way you initially phrased the post, it certainly appeared to be most appropriate to Site Help. Given that you have since indicated your intention was to request opinions on the idea, rather than a direct suggestion for a now forum, I moved it back and I'm adding a poll since that seems appropriate given you're saying you're canvassing the general membership on this. If you don't want the poll, tell me and it can be deleted!

May a suggest that celebratory threads are kept in the Fun and Games forum as the two do seem to be good bedfellows?

There is nothing worse than members clogging up Hot Topics with pointless threads.

Naw, I like 'em in Hot Topics.

Its a nice way to give everyone a little attention once in a while.
 
I rarely open threads labeled "X reaches 1000 posts" and the like, but I always read the title and care at least a little that they are active members. I agree that if we make a separate forum then people just won't go to it. I don't really care either way, though.

Agree entirely. There are too many JUBbers who post replies just to add to their total posts. There are even some JUBbers who say they have found love/a job/religion/The Walt Disney channel, et al, and they will not be posting again...yet there they are, still posting inane comments/threads on every subject under the sun, none of which they know anything about.
