The Fox News Channel is the process of celebrating 15 years in the business of providing a breath of fresh air in reporting news in the United States.

Before Fox News there was only the NBC, CBS, ABC, and CNN for broadcast news information. Most of that content was screened through a liberal bias.

FNC gave a new vision of the news, whether you like them or not, by reporting news and giving both sides an opportunity to express their point of view. I know there are those of you how would disagree however, if you do, I doubt that you are a frequent viewer of FNC. If you think that news is unbiased -- please read a history of journalism and newspapers in the USA.

I don't watch FNC exclusively but watch, read, and listen to a variety of news sources.

To those of you who don't understand the difference between opinion and news, my advice .... get a life.

No matter if you are a viewer of any of the other news sources, please celebrate that you have choices in the USA. Just think what would be different if Fox News were not around.

Competition is good.

May there always be fair and balanced news reporting.

PS: Just noticed it was my 1776th post. Pretty cool huh.

Wow, 15 years of right-wing republican propaganda polluting the airwaves. Roger Ailes has all you people fooled.:^o

Fair and balanced? :rotflmao: Is that why all the disgraced, failed republican politicians are on the Fox payroll?

What's interesting to see is how Fox is now throwing Rick Perry under the bus.

15 years of lies, right wing propaganda and commentary. That's nothing to celebrate.

Yes, thank God for Fox News. Without them, low information voters and the Tea Bag/Republican Party rank and file might one day realize how stupid they really are. Every American has a God given right to live in ignorance and have a news outlet that keeps them that way.

Remember that there are people who would take away your choices.

Some of those people are on this board.

A lot of high-information voters watch Fox News. Plus, the military brass overwhelmingly watch Fox News. Ask any serviceman what channel the TV's in the chow hall are turned to, if it's on news. It's almost always Fox News.

I watch Fox News, and I like that they are generally fair & balanced. It's really the only news network I watch anymore.

On their news segments, they present both sides of the issue, which I think is important in journalism. You can't sneer someone down just because they have a position or a belief that isn't "politically correct."

Happy birthday, Fox News! :)

That is also why I watch Fox news.

They are fair and balanced.

So now you're telling the world you're pro choice! :=D:

It's republicans that are against choice.

The problem with a lot of those "surveys" is that if you regurgitate whatever you hear in the leftist media, you will score close to a 100%.

If you give a more nuanced answer, that takes into account all dimensions of the issue, you are called "wrong" and a "low-education voter."

Plus the mainstream media is really behind on some things. It was Fox News that reported the rise of the "Tea Party" and predicted the major impact they would have on the 2010 elections, all the way back in early 2009.

Fox is less far right than MSNBC is far left - in all important primetime

It's not even close

Frankly I think Fox in primetime has gotten soft a tad boring

Shephard Smith - milquetoast
Bill O - success has made him lazy
Sean is a doofus
Greta is ........ can't get past the tilted grin/smile

MSNBC
Chris Matthews
Lawrence O'Donnell
Rachel
Sgt. Schultz

NO COMPARISON

so Fox is the ONLY right leaning news space
while the rest is left
with MSNBC being much further on the fringe

so all the Fox haters should really get a grip on the reality which is the media is Obama loving, progressive loving and Fox hating

and get a life boys

one "other side" shouldn't get your panties in a bunch so severely

oh yeah - try watching once in a while too before you open your trap about it

that'd be fair and balanced

cheers ;)

Actually, the definition of a low-information voter is a person who only gets their information from one or two sources. I know quite a few liberals who actually watch Fox News to see what the "other side" thinks. I really can't say the same about many Republicans.

I will even agree with Chance on the talking heads. I would say that all of them on both sides are just parrots spewing the same garbage ad nauseam. Even Rush is like them. "Who or what does Rush hate today?" Yawn. Now I see why most people are turned off from television "news".

Fox News a breath of fresh air? Breathing carbon monoxide for 15 years would be healthier.

agreed on ability to see/hear/disseminate - critical

Fox News viewers who only watch FN suffer I agree BUT unlike MSNBC which has NO debate - save for Michael Steele being the token .............. Repub

Fox has Bob Beckel with Sean often, Bill O has Kucinich and others he disagrees with - Shep is really more a str8 (not really ;)) news guy

read an article recently that said that news viewing/listening is niche - smaller is better

Morning Joe I truly believe provides the oppty for a viewer to hear more about more - and not at the expense of in depth - I think if people could watch it they would be far more enlightened AND entertained - it's like churchgoers now - they're bored so they don't go - u have to entertain a bit

glad we can agree max - hope you're doing well

those sox are making it difficult aren't they?

and poor gorgeous tom brady actually had a bad day - hehe

Non-wingnuts sometimes watch Fox News to keep an eye on the enemies of the country, while Foxbots generally are afraid to watch anything that might expose them to the truth.

My dad says that liberalism is a mental disorder.
