Congratulatory threads...

Just so ya know, I am against these threads congratulating members for post counts etc. I hit 5000 posts last year and had to start my own congratulatory thread. Since I had to start my own, I am against those started by others, therefore, from this time forward I will no longer participate in these threads. I will however feel free to post snarky comments in them, such as I did in the thread congratulating Harke and others. I posted whatever and whatev in his thread, I posted a pffffft in another thread.

So suck it bitches....

I know what you mean. In all my time here at JUB, I can count on one hand (and still have fingers left over for picking my nose or flipping the bird at someone) all the congratulatory threads I've received.

I'm like you, though. I don't play the game, and haven't played in a very long time.

I'm sorry I missed your 5,000 posts, FPNY.

I simply happened to notice that Harke was in the late 4,990s a few days ago, and I like his posts. I've done threads like that four or five times. I think it's nice to keep an eye out for post numbers - I do it all the time. Congratulatory threads can also happen for JUBbers' birthdays, and anniversaries of joining.

I know it can sometimes mean people are left out and excluded, but it certainly doesn't mean I don't appreciate other JUBbers any less.

Why not just have one thread of congratulations and whenever a person is about to mark a milestone post, post it there. Then others can congratulate everyone. It seems ineffecient to have a thread for everyone, for every milestone.
