Hi,

Is there anyway to make Chrome clear the cache upon closing so I don't have to keep manually doing it?

I was using Firefox but it keeps crashing on video sites and I'm over it.

Is there anyway to completely remove IE from Vista so I don't have to clear its cache even though I'm not using it it fills.

Vista treats IE as an update so removing the update would just restore an earlier version.

Thanks

IE is ingrained in the OS. It's there to stay. If you want to prevent all IE caching, set the permissions on the folder to deny everyone access.

Chrome/chromium doesn't have a feature to clear cache on exit.

I've just disabled the cache. Append --disk-cache-size=1 --media-cache-size=1 to the shortcut. Also, right-click on any page and select 'inspect element'. Then find the gear icon in the lower-right-hand corner and click it. Look for the check box for 'disable cache' and check it. Or, you can set permissions on the cache folder to disable access to everyone.

A tip I came across...

Whilst still in Chrome press "Ctrl+Shift+Del" and choose accordingly.

I run CCLeaner daily myself.

When you open Chrome click on the little wrench icon in the upper right hand corner then click on New Incognito Window. This will open the browser in a mode where no information is saved when you close that window. I don't see an option to have Chrome open every time in this mode, but at least you don't have to clear everything manually after each session

Thank you, that saves a few steps.

Thank you. I've tried that but it doesn't keep cookies and I have to re type passwords. I just want to clear the cache and history
