I need to order new contact lenses. I've been using 1-800-Contacts. The thing is: they are located in Utah and their founder attended BYU.

After seeing parts of "8: The Mormon Prop." I don't think I want to order from this company. I can't find any info on what charities they support. But, I assume their employees contribute to their local churches.

Does anyone know of a mail order contact lens company that's gay friendly?

Wow.

I just use what's best for my eyes as recommended by the ophthalmologist and whichever cleaning kit suits me best in terms of keeping 'em fresh and clean for longer. I've never thought of it beyond that.

Unlike most ophthalmologists mine doesn't try and make you buy your lenses from him. They will order them, but tell you the mail order/online places will be cheaper.

But, 1-800-contacts is the only one I've tried. I checked my local LensCrafters and Walgreens but both were kinda high.

When I first started wearing them, they weren't very comfortable. But, the newer ones they use now are great. You really can't even feel them on your eye.

I've been wearing contacts since I was 18. As long as you wash your hands before putting them in or taking them out. Use the solutions they tell you to use. No spit or water. Don't wear them longer than they tell you to. If you do that you are unlikely to hurt yours eyes.

I'm not based in the states so I can't help ya.

But contacts are awesome. I look like such a dork when I have to wear glasses, thats why I prefer contacts any day.

try costco, target and those kinds of stores. i know that costco is way cheaper than alot of other places.

Wear glasses unless glasses brings you trouble. It's safer and you don't have to do all the work before and after using lenses.

Contact lens-associated keratitis is not something you want to get.

I have contacts but I cant wear them for any longer than 9hours or my eye will start to hurt because of the dryness. :D

CONTACTS FTW!

WOW

No offense but WHO CARES...LoL...just cause you stop ordering from them isn't gonna shut them down and make them go out of business...and change "Their view" on things... (which you don't know in the first place...and even if all the employees were oh well).....Its business. Get your contacts, pay for em...end of discussion.

I never thought me not buying my lenses there would shut them down. Just like not shopping a Wal-mart isn't gonna shut them down. By the way if you buy your contacts a Wal-mart they come from 1-800-contacts.

The point is: I try to avoid sending my money to people who hate me.

However, you're wrong about changing their views. Cracker Barrel restaurants used to fire anyone they found out was gay. A protest was started...it took several years...but finally the stock holders told the company they had to change the policy or they would start removing people from the board of directors.
