Can anyone offer a suggestion please,

Just looking to convert between these two formats. It's a one time conversion, so I am trying to avoid buying a conversion program if possible.

So far, all the so-called "free" trials either convert 50% of the file (thank you, that's helpful) or watermark the file.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for all the great suggestions. I tried all the uploaders suggested, the file stalls @ around 7%. It may be corrupted. I will try to split the file and hope my friend can follow some simple instructions to rejoin it.

I've written on the Tech forum several times. A str8 friend of mine had a tech problem, asked me for a solution, and I told him I would ask on the Tech forum of justusboys.com. A minute later (he had obviously checked the site) he said "You are going to gay site to ask on a tech problem?? I said "Yeah, cause on this site people read the posts, and they offer great suggestions" That night, AnalblasT, and seven2go both responded within an hour of my post, and both offered solutions that worked.

I think I made my str8 friend a little gay that night.

You cannot convert a vid longer than three minutes with the free version.

The free software on the link I provided will convert unlimited length. I've converted vids several hours long. (FYI, I have no connection to the company. I just like their free software.)
 
^ That is not correct.
I use it for converting DVD's and whatnot......frequently.
I've never seen a 3 minute DVD and never run into any limitations.......in the US anyway.
BTW......the OP messaged me and he LOVES it...... :)
