Cool trends that faded out

I fear that this 'trend' is going to haunt mankind for all eternity:

I threw my pogs out when I thought they were stupid :(

I remember getting a carrying case for them with my name at a friend's birthday party, too :(

I fear this particular trend is being pushed back down everyone's throats by way of Hollywood cinema releases...

I'm not talking about the new 3D. I'm talking about the old 3D that required the red and green lenses when movies were made to be in 3D without all the 3D 'effects'.

At the height of the rubik cube popularity .....there was a children cartoon with the rubik cube as the hero (in the 80's)

Men's short shorts.

Tom Selleck's Magnum PI was right in the middle of the trend too.

I wish short shorts would make a come back. I can't stand board shorts. I would rather wear pants.

Not to mention the button tufted leather seats that had about a foot of stuffing in them that were more comfortable that the couch in the house. And when you said a car had either that Lincoln Ride or Cadillac Ride - it meant hours of pleasurable comfortable motoring. Oh yeah - and if you were above 6 feet tall - you could still sit anywhere in the car and be comfortable. Try that now in a Honda Civic.

And wire hubcaps

^Oh, I found Pogo Ball so disappointing. I spent $13 on the thing, and it deflated after about three uses.

Cool trends???!!!

The words 'corporate-derived, mass-appeal, sheeple-tastic, artificially-manufactured, sales-opportunity, lowest-common-denominator, transient-shite' spring far more readily to mind.

My memories of the pogo ball are very FOND. Lasted me until I was bored with it.
