The reality aspect of the TJ/Jeff/Gabe/Noah era of Corbin Fisher is one reason it was so hot. Jeff (the real model) was clearly holding out for a while before he did guy-guy scenes, and then he held out before he was willing to get fucked.

What the Corbin Fisher management seem to fail to realize is that anticipation makes the payoff better. They have done away with the blowjob scenes, presumably because customers said "We prefer fucking!" They don't seem to be willing to accommodate models who start out a little apprehensive anymore--but it was the apprehensive models we loved! Models like, Jeff, Noah, and Gabe, who maybe needed a bit more nurturing.

That's not to say that reluctance was the only thing exciting about that era. The "reality" element works both ways--it was hot when Trent was so excited in his first sex scene that he came prematurely. When was the last time a snafu like that showed up on CF?

Corbin Fisher still has some hot guys, but their product today is too slick. It's a shame, because in a lot of ways CF pioneered a new type of "amateur" porn that reflected society's desire for "reality" entertainment, and lately they seem to have back-slid , with videos that look like mainstream porn from the 90s.

I will never for the life of me understand what you guys think is so God-damned great about Gabe? Yeah he was really good looking, but then so are Trevor, TJ, Dawson and a bunch of others. I think a 'golden era' is a function of perception: there was that period in late 2005-early 2006 when the site really hit its stride. I don't think the site has gone downhill so much (like Sean Cody did when Sean Cody went away) as become rote. The current stable of models is as attractive as it's ever been: Colby, Brody, James, Nicholas, Cain, in addition to the recent Dean's list guys. They've made a good effort to expand the concept a bit, but these attempts, like the Bel Ami partnership, the Lucas-Dawson road trip, the current trip to Costa Rica, have made it a more professional operation. The 'amateur' charm was just a moment it the site's development.

It still has its amateur moments: I don't think Ethan was at all prepared for the juggernaut of Travis' libido. They probably assured him that Travis was 'straight', lol!
 
I still love the early years when the site and guys seemed truly amateur. My favorite has always been Dirk. In his first few scenes, he seemed like he was new to guy/guy action -- but WANTED to try it. He did a scene with Logan where it looked like he might be a little drunk. Logan was asking questions about guy on guy stuff. I remember Dirk smiling and saying in a slightly guilty, maybe embarrassed way, "Don't fight it man." That's all I needed to hear from him. That epitomized Corbin Fisher to me.

Of course I still love the site today.
