Another factor to consider is that some of these guys may have the male 'big muscle' variant of a body dysmorphic disorder. Porn frees them from having to hold down a 9-5, so they can spend several hours a day in the gym. It also helps them buy supplements, both legal and contraband, which can get pretty pricey. Perhaps this phenomenon accounts for 'Dawson', 'Lucas', and possibly 'TJ'. And of course there's a strong homoerotic component to the personalities of guys who get that caught up in the 'physical culture' of masculinity. I thought there were some serious sparks flying in that first 'Dawson/Lucas' video.
And yes, there are some who are genuinely homo and bisexual. They are drawn to porn because the paycheck affords them a rationalization for experimenting. However, I wouldn't necessarily call them 'gay', as I have come to believe that 'gay' and 'homosexual' are not synonyms.
I'm beginning to suspect that there is such a thing as a 'straight homosexual': regular, decidedly unfabulous guys who just happen to be into guys. I think 'Cade' may be one of these (I hope he didn't take the Pats loss too bad!) -- he's just too into it! I feel like he's going to eat the faces of guys when he's kissing them. 'Trevor' is the only one who I actually believe is a 'college man'. Given tuition these days, it's entirely possible that he's putting himself through college by sucking dick.
