I only ask as i'm off to Afghanistan in the morning.

^ now you're going to be accused of not being in Scotland because you're posting at 1:34 am and should be sleeping

Does this pic look like i've just Googled men standing outside The Taj Mahal, no it doesn't, okay the tache was a mistake.

And this is why i love you. Imagine how boring their lives must be to keep tabs on other members.

Thanks for sharing that. Cute. It's hard to imagine that the shrine was ever that vacant. From everything one hears, it's mobbed constantly.

I never really found George Harrison to be that handsome, but I've never followed the Beatles that way. That pic was from 1966, so I was only five when it hit the presses.

What a handsome chin he had, and nose. I'm a sucker for faces.

A lot of people don't know people who are more popular than God.

Well, at least he's long in the grave and can't feel the sting of falling from iconic to has-been.

Harrison's estate was right to sue the doctor for breach of privacy. It's no one's business what we choose to divulge about our health. He had every right to keep his cancer and treatments private.

I love real stories about India. Having studied and traveled there a lot my affections for it provide me with some sort of commitment/investment in faithful representations of it. I would hate to think I'm keeping tabs on another member. I am keeping tabs on content with which I have some familiarity. I hope that's fair enough, and not totally unlike how a medical professional like you might apply a little skepticism to poorly construed health information.

Purely as a matter of aesthetics I find the fiction pointless. But if others enjoy it I have no objections.

^I tend to apply a little skepticism to most things.

The post was not directed at you, it was directed to the member who made the drive by post.

Yeah, well Alistair certainly does seem to keep plenty of tabs on Cormac. He pops up in all of his threads, regular as clockwork.

^Friends do tend to have that habit.

I am sure you, like me can tell the difference. We all knew cormac was not in India, he was making what was supposed to be as Zoltanspawn rightly pointed out a purely fictional post.

I'm sure it will come as no surprise when I say that I regard all of Cormac's posts as entirely fictitious. I'm not sure "we all knew" he wasn't in India though. There are plenty of people who give every impression of believing his nonsense. Maybe they're just playing along with it.

If you notice, I pop up in nearly every thread.

As medic said I consider Cormac a friend and spend as much time talking to him outside of the public forum as I spend talking to my real world friends.

Some people really need to use the ignore function and stop trying to drag the rest into their pit of misery. Maybe they'll end up having a happier life too.

Why ignore when you can snipe and moan from the sidelines, always ready to put the boot in any chance he gets, perhaps if he made some threads himself he wouldn't feel the need to stir up drama elsewhere.

...We all knew cormac was not in India...

I gave him the benefit of the doubt at first I admit. Maybe because I was hopeful he'd have something interesting to say?

I'm not sure everybody really knows it's shenanigans, and his fictions aren't always presented as such. A casual member like the OP almost certainly wouldn't catch on right away.

I would have a lot more sympathy for such enterprises if they had some satirical or observant point. Then, a little winking at us (which Cormac does include) would be funny. But making up stuff for no apparent reason leaves me at a loss. And I also dislike, in this case at least, how misrepresentation can open the door to bias.

For what it's worth, I have no personal antipathy toward Cormac.

One does not have to "go there" to "be there". It is a state of mind.
