How about "Feelings" from the 70's? Or "You Light Up My Life"? But the one that gets played constantly where i work is Michael Buble's "Home". That song is so hideous & sickly sweet, like pouring maple syrup on a marshmallow. When songs like that come on, i actually leave the building.

Well, "Sing" is really a children's song, originally from the Muppets. (Even Barbra Streisand recorded it because it was her goddaughter's favorite song at the time.) I kind of like it, but I enjoy many songs intended for kids.

LeoMikey, I agree with you completely.

Afternoon Delight- by that retarted "equal gender hippie band" from the 70's
Cherry Pie- Warrant
A bay bay- Hurricane chris (what an effin' ugly monkie lookin' bastard)
Buy u a drank- retarted ass t pain
Pop Lock And drop- huey
London Bridges- Fergie
Party like a rockstar- the pet shop boyz

My Baby Takes The Morning Train - Sheena Easton
(Lets Get) Physical - Olivia Newton John
My Ding A Ling - Chuck Berry

Don't Worry Be Happy by Bobby McFerran

I really dont find songs to be corny like silly I find that there are just more werid songs out there. Someone mentioned London Bridge. I dont find that song corny as in silly I find it more werid cause she used a bridge as her love. Least thats what I get from the song. Now for songs I find werid and dont understand where they came from or how someone could actually write them I would have to say...

Chain Hang Low - Jibbs
Pop Lock and Drop It - Not sure who sings it
Senorita -Justin Timberlake (cause he is not spanish)
Gimme Just One Night (Una Noche) - 98 Degrees
Email My Heart - Britney Spears
Ball and Chain - B4-4 (were big in Canada)
Love For All Seasons - Christina Aguilera
Chevy - Cherish

Theres alot more too......

I've Never Been To ME
Charlene

Bradlee - I burst out laughin at the very mention of this song - it has driven me nuts for YEARS - many's the time I've lunged for the radio dial to get away from
it ! I think it's the spoken part most of all that makes me wanna clout her !

I know there are worse out there, but currently my vote goes to Nickleback's Rockstar. It sounds like a beer commercial.

I guess with some songs you do have to consider what they really are (Sing being a children's song and You Light Up My Life a christian song) but if it's put out in the pop market, it deserves to be judged as a pop song.

Sex bomb- tom jones, i laugh my ass off everytime i hear this song, come on, a 60 something yr. old man singing about how good he is in bed, ya maybe after a couple bottles of Viagra, LOL

Bad day- daniel powter
Throw some d's- Rich boy
I want to know what love is- Foreigner
It's like that- Mariah carey

Email My Heart - Britney Spears

Seriously?

I find it to be a beautiful song and one of the best on her debut CD. And it was right around the time i started using email LOL. I guess i could really relate to it at the time because i was going through the same thing the song was talking about and i like when song writers can turn real life events into song.

Its therapeutic.

Are you kidding me? The song is bad. If someone emailed me instead of call me I would be highly pissed off at that person. I could see if you were like countries away or something but no. I doubt anyone would ever take this song seriously. I am like one of her biggest fans and I cant get over Jive put that song on the album. If someone doesnt have the common decency to call me and tell me how they feel or do it to my face thats really shallow of them.

Obviously you are focusing on the song title as opposed to the lyrics. We are living in computer world.

Read them,

It's been hours seems like days, since you went away,
And all I do is check the screen to see if you're ok.
You don't answer when I phone, guess you wanna be left alone.
So I'm sending my heart, my soul, and this is what I'll say:

[CHORUS]
I'm sorry, oh so sorry, can't you give me one more chance to make it all up to you.
E-mail my heart and say our love will never die
and that I know you're out there and I know that you still care.
Email me back and say our love will stay alive.
Forever, Email my heart.

Whoa
I can see you in my mind, coming on the line
And opening this letter that I've sent a hundred times.
Here's a picture of us two, I look so good on you
and can't you please forgive me for the hurt I put you through.

[Repeat CHORUS]

I'm sorry, oh so sorry, can't you give me one more chance to make it all up to (you).

E-mail my heart and say our love will never die
and that I know you're out there and I know that you still care
(I know that you still care...)
Email me back and say our love will stay alive
Forever (Won't ya say, Won't ya say)
Forever, Forever
Email my heart

They broke up but he is still on her instant messenger list so since he isnt answering her phone calls, the closest she can get to him is seeing if he is still alive and ok on instant messenger. More than likely she has blocked but still gets comfort knowing he is online.

Brit email him her "sorry" because he wont take her calls, and she hopes he will one day email her back and they can get back together.

Its pretty straight forward to me.

Like i said before awesome song and it helped me through a similar experience. It was good to know i was not alone.

My Baby Takes The Morning Train - Sheena Easton
(Lets Get) Physical - Olivia Newton John
My Ding A Ling - Chuck Berry

I actually like those songs, except "my ding a ling", gosh what a horrible song, but "morning train (9 to 5)" and "Physical" are good songs to me!!!

Oh yes. I once did an entire thread about that very song, and how (IMHO) it is so utterly appallingly on every level (music, lyrics, production, etc) that it falls into the category of 'so bad, it's good'. :D
