'Cosmos' with Neil deGrasse Tyson

I haven't seen it, but I have the original Cosmos with Carl Sagan and enjoy it immensely. When the new Cosmos was released on Blu-ray, I checked Amazon.ca and it was on for almost half price. I bought it and it should be here tomorrow or Monday.

I hope I won't be disappointed with it. The reviews I read were all good.

Think it is worth seeing---only criticism is there is lot's of animation and special effects that get distracting---also Seth Mac Farlane executive produced it ----he is better known for The Family Guy----a comedy I can take or leave---and there are attempts at comedy in this series.

I watched the first 4 episodes, but got more bored each week- more abouit the people who were major discoverers back in 15/16/17 hundreds...I wanted more outer space.

That was the original Cosmos as well. Carl did a whole lot of walking and talking about a whole lot of people.

I saw several of the episodes. Half-price sounds about right. Tyson is no Sagan unfortunately.

I'd be fine with the history- as long as it was mixed up better- 1 show out in space, the next on historical figures, etc.
