Yes, with your system you can play WoW. You should add a bit more RAM though.

If you *should* play it is your decision of course ;) It's a great timekiller, and a fun game. But it can also become time consuming up til the levels of addiction for some people. So if you have a problem with getting things done, maybe an MMORPG isn't the best choice.

RAM is pretty cheap at the moment. It's usually easy to add - just look for a similar bar in the computer, and place the new one next to it. The problem here is to get the right bar for your machine, because there are differences and not all work well together and with all boards. If you still have the bill or the specs from when you bought your computer, there should be some info to find on it about the kind of RAM that you got. They should be able to give you the right one with that kind of info in the store.
If your hubby is a bit more tech-savy just let him deal with it so you have someone to blame if it goes wrong :D j/k - if you don't feel safe doing it yourself just ask someone in the store. Many do it for free if you buy it there or ~ 5 EUR or so, because it's really just taking a minute.

Oh and forgot about it the first time I replied:

There is a nice website where you can test your machine to see if it can run a specific game:

definitely add more ram, at least reach 2GB.
and update your graphic driver.
geforce 6200 should do ok in wow.

Don't start with it. It costs money.

Meet me on the free (and currently shitty) 9Dragons

/\ that's true. not only do you pay for the game when you buy it, you also have to pay a monthly subscription fee. i play about once every 4-5 months so i only pay for 30 days at a time.

No dont play wow its a waste of time, and with a computer like that It would be like putting regular gas into a high performance car, or something like that. you should get more ram at the very least and maybe a better video card. something tells me a nvidia 6xxx isnt that good.

you do know how old this game is, right?
also you could consider every game, computer or not as a "waste of time".
plus it is proven that the effect of using "high perfomance" gas is rather minimal ;)

I have a friend who used to play this and he became addicted. So beware of this. It took him ages to get off it and even now he twitches when he sees it, and his fingers start going!

it wasn't addictive to me. but i get bored with games easily. ;) guess i'm not as big of a nerd as i thought. but i do know people who spend 2-3 hours a night "raiding." their wives are not too happy about it. although one plays with her husband a few times a month.

yeah wow isnt a great game its just addictive. theres nothing good about it, its like mcdonalds food, you know its not good for you but you eat it because it tastes good. you are paying to poison your soul~

It can make you into too abit of a zombi and it can be rubish at times, i was a raider, spending 5-10 hours a day playing, i used to get hugh amounts of pleasure from working as a team to achieve a common goal (to kill a dragon) but over time if you don't progress though the game you get bored and end up doing the same thing every night. However if your a pro gammer and people reconise it, then you will see all game content and you will be looked up to by all the noobs on the server but the chances of this happening is very slim, however the new expansion is coming out soon and will put everyone back to stage 1 again, if your going to play. now is the time!

I've got of wow for about a month now, came back for a couple of hours last week to try new patch and my graphics card fell to bits (Doh!) but i think i'm just gonna stay off it. i've had good times in wow and bad times, its got me though harsh times but its also created problems for me in real life. i would'nt have not played because it i kept in touch via wow with a school friend and he's still my best friend 4 years later (after school finshed) however! i lost out on alot of oppertunnites because of wow

so..................................

make you own mind up!

Jimboy121

sorry about my spelling

I don't know...you COULD play WoW with your specs, but I agree with adding more RAM.

But, I don't think you SHOULD play WoW because you'll end up sitting there hours on end doing raids and stuff. My old roommate used to just stay on WoW and do that all the time...

For the game to be playable, i'd upgrade to 1g of RAM, i play wow and i'm comfortable with that.

Just check to see if your computer can run any game

hope this helps

and yes you should play, UBER game

as i said before just run this link and select wow buring crusade/litch king and if your computer is'nt up to spec it will tell you want to get!

once you click on it, if it does nothing for about 2-3 mins, click back and do it again, small bug i think but it works.

Whether or not your system could cope with the specified requirements, the question is: Do you want to play WoW? Only you can decide that, nobody else can make that decision for you.

Agree to disagree? :) It IS a good game otherwise there would not be 11 million subscriptions world wide.

I love the lore, and the game mechanics. I play on a roleplaying server, it is quite fun. :)
