I did a bunch of yard work.Came home, now the sky is darkening and it looks like a good thunder and lighting storm is comming with lots of rain.
The sky is black and I have Pink Floyd on the player and the doors open so the neighbours can hear at full volume.
And I am here at JUB What could be better?
I know, sex.

Yes, but which Pink Floyd? On a stormy day, I like "Animals".

"You better watch out, there may be dogs about"

"Pink Who?"

What about anything by Stephen Sondheim?

Could we switch to a musical, or Barbara Cook or Andre Marcovvichi?

What about an opera "Manon?" - I am going to see that in about two weeks for the first time - I would love to hear the music in advance.

Just thought I would ask - we local village idiots left the scene after Mama Cass Ellitot passed away.

Rocking out to "A Momentary Lapse of Reason"As much as I love PF I pretty much listen to the later stuff after not listening for a long time.

Hello Michael, sigh the only Sondheim I can sing without screwing it up is Send in the Clowns, somehow it just dosen't seem right with a rain sorm comming.....Wagner?(*8*) to you.You are so lucky to be going to Manon.I would love to see it.With your taste I am sure it is a gem.

I don't know where you live but in my state (michigan) I can play whatever I like as loud as I like until 9pm. Thats right...Its actually later but I don't cause I know people have kids.

LOVE Pink FLoyd!!!!! Thats a great album as well. NIce choice..|

I hope your neighbours are Floyd fans too; forcing others to endure your personal choice of music (howerful good) is quite an invasive and anti-social act. [-X

I have a neighbour who plays U2 at all hours of the day and night until I am forced to hammer on his door and tell him to shut the fuck up. I actually used to quite like U2, once upon a time, but not anymore.

Yeah, I know, I sound like a boring kill-joy; but I'm rapidly becoming an intolerant grumpy old man where noise is concerned. :p

Lucky me the only people who are home are way far from my apt.Everyone is at work but me.
I would never do that to my neighbours.I have been on the other end of that stick.
My music will go off at 5PM.But just having a ball listening and watching the storm come(*8*)

well but my nuts and call it shinola

that does sound rather skippy ;)

Good choice, but "The Division Bell" seems like more of a stormy day record.

Ooops, I apologise for sounding so censorious. I forgot about the time difference; it's nearly midnight here in UK. #-o

Not only am I turning into a grumpy old man, I'm quite clearly developing early-onset Alzheimer's. :help:
Don't fret it. You just had a Momentary Lapse of Reason. :p

For me, a stormy day means 'Dark Side of the Moon'. Actually, any day means 'Dark Side of the Moon'.

Oh course it means that...... anytime !!! anywhere!! (well, not anywhere!)... OK anywhere!!

Just had a "blast the tunes moment".

Took mumsy to the airport. She won't ride in my Jeep (unsafe at any speed). She calls it "the covered wagon". The only downside to the Jeep IMO is you can't really hear the stereo over the roar of the tyres and the growl of tranny. Anyhoo, her car ahs a kick-ass stereo.

Found an old John Cougar CD from like way back in the eighties. Listened to The Authority Song at full bore. There is something about kicking it so loud that the rear view mirror vibrates.
