Yeah.

that makes sense.

you never see gay men in good shape. They're all fat and ugly and short with hook noses and bad skin.

(don't be silly.. your'e gay becuase you're gay.. you check out hot guys because they're hot.)
 
Obviously two and two don't go together, but in your case it's not to be put out of the question.
 
I used to like it if an attractive guy criticized something about his own looks because I mistook it for humility (a positive character trait). Over the last few years tho, I started noticing that the guys who criticize every little thing about their own bodies are usually just as catty about mine or others', so I just try to steer toward more positive people now. Many might be surprised how unhappy some of those "hot" guys are about their own looks. By my age looks usually start to go anyway, lol, so I learned to look for other aspects in a potential mate.
