ok so i wanted to get a few scenes of Jason Tiya from the Black Balled 4 movie off of this site:
http://asianextract.blogspot.com/.
now after downloading it, i'm not able to play it on any of my media player which include: window's media player, real player, quicktime player, divx player, & my itunes player. what should i do?

We need more info. What is the file type? What is the file extension (the part after the ".", i.e. movie.avi)? What happens when you try to play the file?

Try downloading a codec pack to make sure you have the right video/audio codec for the movie.

how did the files download? did they download with a .001 or .002 file extension? if so then the files need to be joined back together. often large files are split up with a free tool called HJsplit. i see on the right side of that page you link to is info on HJsplit and where to download it and instructions on how to use it, so my assumption is that you will need to download/run it to join the files you have together so they will play. try to put all the files into the same folder by themselves to make joining them a little easier.

good luck

/\ are you sure? maybe you have file extentions hidden? some of these split files will say something like movie.avi.001 and movie.avi.002 where they have to then be joined so the file ultimately is just movie.avi

based on the info on that web page i really think you'll need to download HJsplit and use it.

is there an official site that i could download this @? i don't wanna download it anywhere and possibly get a virus or something. could ya hook me up with a link. oh and thnx for the help. i've been hungering from some Jason Tyia scenes all week!! i can't find any others anywhere!

????????????
well let's see, when i try to play it in the iTunes, the movie player comes up but nothing plays, when i try & use the windows media player, it says:The selcesred files has an extension (.001) that is not recognizes by the Windows Media Player, but the Player may still be able to play it, bluhh bluhh, bluhh. ofcoure i choose the yes option and then it says: Windows Media Player cannot play the file. on Quicktime it tells me that the file isn't a movies, on the RealPlayer, it says that i need to download some new software which ofcourse never works lol and finally, the Divx Player just says that the file cannot be opened.

lol well i'd say that if you downloaded the files from the site you provided to begin with it's probably ok. however, i did look for a better source of HJsplit. I found it here at PC world magazine. http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,20360-order,1-page,1-c,alldownloads/description.html

based on the response to provenlogic, i'm definitely sure now you have to join the two files together.

let us know how it works out for ya

ok so i downloaded it (the hjsplit) and i've joined the files and i have the icon of the movie but it stil won't play. what the hell sould i do now?!?!

You nearly have every media player known to mankind but you're missing the one that will actually play most formats: VLC Player.

damn it still didn't work....i guess i gotta wait to find some Jason Tyia vids....*sniff****sniff**

wow it still doesn't play? i'm guess it gives you a different error message now? there appear to be 3 parts to the file and you have to have all three i think and have them joined. what's the error message now? it could be now you are missing a "codec" either audio or video or maybe both. do you hear sound when you try to play the file or nothing or an error message?

ok i downloaded the three clips, then i downloaded HJsplit from the site i mentioned. I then put all three clips into one folder and used HJsplit to join them. the resulting output file works for me. so maybe when you downloaded one of the three clips it got corrupted and that's why it's not playing. Or you are missing a codec. you might want to try downloading a codec pack to see if that is the problem.

under helpful information on that page you talked about are a couple links to codec packs. i use k-lite codec pack which is listed there so i would try and download that and install them and see if that fixes it. if not you could try downloading the files again, but that would likely only work if one of the files got corrupted originally during download. sorry i can't be more help, i just don't know what is wrong now. :(
