To all gays and bisexuals on JUB, do you think you would be accepting of gays if you weren't gay/bi yourself? I've wondered this myself a few times and I'm not sure. In all honesty, I don't think I would be very tolerant of gays if I were heterosexual. Of course, I'll never know for sure.

I think I could, but definitely not with the flamboyant ones, and vice versa with 'butch' lesbians. I'm a bisexual, and I can't stand flamboyant gays and butch lesbians as it is. I'm not rude to them or anything. I just prefer not to be around them, so I spend as little time around them, in order to avoid any sort of confrontation, because I can have a short fuse at times.

It's hard to really say how you would respond when you've lived your life under the circumstances. I only know the me that grew up homosexual.
