No, I'm not looking forward to it. Well, it's not that I'm not looking forward to it...it's that I don't care. I'm over these next-gen consoles. Fuck 'em all! Yes, even Sony. *clutches Sony Fanboy badge*

I'll get my PS3 as soon as Final Fantasy XIII comes out (Sometime in 2007 or 2008). In the end, it's the only reason I'm getting it.

Enjoy your Wii though!! ^_^

Thats odd that its comin out in the US before Japan. I can't wait for it.

Can't wait! My first camp out for a console. Just gonna swing by the 24hr wal-mart and try to grab one at midnight.

Yeh im hoping i can just go to one of the 24 hour Wal Marts in the area and just pick one up but I doubt it'll happen but at least itll be a fun trip to Wal Mart.

phanton_brave- yes it does play Gamecube discs. You're better off just waiting since it's coming out soon..I plan on getting the PS3 for functionality, but Nintendo always has some of the best games

do we able to play game cube game using wii?

cause game cube is so cheap right now, and there couple game that i really want to play... but if wii can manage these game, i wont bother myself buy the game cube

Yes, the Wii plays GC games. Though I think you would still need to buy GC controllers and GC memory cards if you dont have those already.

Laltely Ive heard a lot of cool stuff about the PS3 so Im a bit more interested about it, but Im just not ready to spend 600 on it. I just dont think its a fair price at all, and I dont even have an HD tv nor Im planning to get one soon.

The download service may not be as wonderful as it first seems. Apparently, they will only make games available for download that were available in your territory the first time round on cart/disc. So you can kiss goodbye to Sin & Punishment & some of the best RPG's if you live outside Japan. Unless you buy a Jap Wii with some Jap Wii points which is one way around the issue (apparently)

Well how else would it have been? I mean, they never have encouraged importing as far as I know. That's expected. Oh where did you read that about the DVDs? I thought they just werent doing it at all. The Wii does play video, music and photo files though.

So far...the only thing that has slightly disapointed me about the Wii and its not even a huge deal..not a big enough deal to stop me from getting any of these games is the online play.

Being able to play online definitly adds to a games replay value. I wouldn't play Metroid Prime Hunters anymore except online after finishing the one player mode (even though I do suck at the online play). I was just hoping to have more options available and given the opportunity to play online with some of the games like Splinter Cell Double Agent or even a game like Red Steel.

But as I said its definitly not going to stop me from getting Wii or even from playing some of those games...but unfortunatly once I finish them thats basically it. Unless its a game like Smash Bros. it'll end up being put away collecting dust.

While the launch games won't get online play; games coming out next year will. Nintendos online service as far as gameplay goes isn't ready yet. The first online game will be Poke'mon Battle Revolution. Which launches in Japan in December.

wii=japanese trash X360 for the win!

Funny 360=trash in Japan.

Matt from ign got a Wii dev kit. In the video he goes through the wii interface and puts in a gamecube and wii disk. Shows the setting for the Wii and the Wii Message Board. The Wii will have a console number, which will be the only number needed for online gaming. Check it out!

The one friend code sounds so much better then the DS friend code system. I can't believe we only have 22 days to go. It's sneaking up fast...If I don't manage to get one on launch day I will be devestated. Sure it would probobly just mean waiting another week or so for another shipment. And I really doubt every store in town will be sold out of them. I'll find some remote store somewhere here in St. John's and hopefully nobody else will be there waiting haha.
