Couple Problems

First problem- I want to come out to my parents and everyone that Im bi. But I constantly hear my family bashing not gays, but bis. Things like "Those damn bisexuals are just confused" "They need to pick a side" "If it werent for those god damn bisexuals, no straight people would ever get AIDS" "Its just a fad" and "All those bisexuals are whores".
In this ridiculously ignorant, negative environment, Im REALLY afraid of coming out. Im a big performer, and known for being something of a joker, so its rare that anyone takes me seriously, particularly my parents, and on an issue like this. Ive hinted at it before and my mother usually tells me that I "Better not be gay" and that she knows I want to "try on all the hats". How do I tell them that bisexuality is real, that I am confident in my bisexuality, and show them that all of their ignorant perceptions are off, brutally?

Second problem (more of a situation than anything)- Theres this boy I know quite well. Whenever we see each other, he grinds up on me, touches my ass, and will even give me a peck on the cheek now and then. He claims to be straight, but that he believes that "everyone is at least a little bisexual". Is there a way I can kind of coax him into getting with me? I think about him lots, and it would be great to get into a relationship, but how do I get him to open up about his gay side?

Thanks, help is appreciated! =]

1. Print out the first part of your post, and hand it to them.

2. Nudge him forwards. Next time, he says "everyone is at least a little bisexual", grab his butt, or run your hand up his thigh, and say "Any chance this part is bisexual?" Or say "Well, if you ever want to indulge in your bisexual part, just say the word."

Haha, GREAT advice, particularly on number 2.
And I didnt think about that, Im a half-decent writer, I could write them a letter

Don't say you're bi, tell them you're Gay! That would solve the problem.
Untill a girl comes along. But most bi guys seems to hook up with men.

^ not sure why I would tell them Im gay. Im not, Im bisexual.

Im asking him out tomorrow. Im a little nervous (not anymore than when I ask girls out), but I think I can pull through.

My biggest fear is losing his friendship. A problem many people have had. Hopefully everything works out.

Good luck! I'm rooting for you! ..|

Lex, buddy. Normally your advice is spot on. I think you may have been in an indulgent space when you wrote that reply, however :P

To the original poster on the first point: People will say things publicly that they do not necessarily hold as personal truth. This is a general rule. Don't take too much to heart from relatives, friends, until you talk to them one on one. You are sensitive now to your early stage of development and so are sensitive.

On your second point, flirtation is just flirtation. It is a fun little game and a lot of people play it. Straight guys will play the game with other guys for the sake of attention, and for the moment if they're horned up enough. It could be that he's curious, but play it carefully if you play it at all. Running your hand up his thigh will, imho, turn him right off.
