Courting is kinda being straight forward because when people are courting, they state up front that their intentions are to see if the other person is a suitable potential marriage partner. And the relationships are platonic until marriage to allow the couple to truly get to know each other. And, if you are courting, your dates are chaperoned by parents/family members. That is if you look at the original meaning of it. So no, I don't court, I dateAlso
This idea of courtship is completely new to me! Stating up front? Platonic??? This does not sound like courtship to me. Courting is supposed to be about seducing the other; neither slapping him in the face with a declaration of lust nor reaching an agreement on a marriage free of sensual desire amounts to courtship.
I love the idea of courtship, but won't play games like have been described earlier. There must be give and take with both people honestly interested in a developing, passionate result, or it's just really creepy.
Straight up front can be fun, too, though! It always depends upon the guys involved and the dynamics that seem most natural between them, don't you think? And that kind of thing can change from couple to couple, situation to situation.
