I have seen a lot of people talking about getting together with other guys through Craigslist or thinking about doing that, but to me Craigslist seems like a really sketchy, desperate place....

So, I'm curious, what are your experiences with Craigslist?
Not saying I want to try it, but I'm curios to see if my opinion holds true.

My opinion is that you can find and meet INCREDIBLE people ANYWHERE!!! ..|

Back in March of 2007 -- I was stuck at a truck stop in the middle of nowhere Iowa for a day and signed onto Craigslist...

I ended up meeting an AWESOME guy and we've been BEST FRIENDS ever since...

He ended up joining JUB shortly after as Alex22 (somehow his account got deleted) -- and even worked with opinterph and I for awhile until late 2010...

Here is a photo of him and I by our pool...

Over the years -- he's also met Knucklehead, Nineofclubs, Stationtostation, Windsors and Jayhawk...

Its a GOOD THING that I signed onto Craigslist that night -- because my life is SO MUCH BETTER with him being a part of it!!! :D

:):):)

I've had some good dates, some cool hookups, and a couple of bad meets. Reconnected with an ex. Met two fellow lgbt metalheads. Oh, and there was this one time where I met a bullshit photographer with a hair fetish(which I ruined for him by cutting off my hair in front of him - and yeah, I did that on purpose).

Been a roller coaster.

I check CL out everyday, mostly for a laugh. I'm always amazed at some of the ads posted... ON the other hand, I have met some cool people from there. Almost entirely hook-ups. If you check it out every other day or so you will figure out the sketch ads. Some of these people post two-three times a day! Some people are VERY lonely..

we met some very good friends when I answered an ad in the strictly platonic section, it turned out that my partner knew one of the guys brother, and we just hit it off from there, that was six or seven years ago......

I feel uneasy about Craigslist. So, I use Manhunt and Adam4Adam instead. I have met some great guys in the process.

I have made many connects from CL. It is true that there are many trolls and fakes on it as well as a ton of guys that have to be bored out of their minds.

I sold two vehicles on CL and have met some really cool people through the site. Have run into the occasional weirdo but more positive than negative experiences.

I do that too. Sometime it's my source of humor on a down day:badgrin::badgrin:

I've had some luck there.

Met an incredibly hot boy who fucked me good a few months back on there.

It's definitely more for hookups than relationships though. I don't think I've met anyone that I saw more than like 4 or 5 times. Not saying that applies to everyone on there, but most.

I met 2 roommates of a platonic nature & bought some great secondhand furniture on Craigslist. I don't know if I'd meet up with anyone from it, though. I'm a big fan of OKCupid, though.

Also be prepared for endless texting/emailing back and forth. I swear some of these people must be the loneliest in the world! Haven't they ever heard of customer service?!

I've sold a bunch of crap on craigslist. Since becoming a widower I've met some FB's in different parts of the country and really haven't had a bad experience. If you are carefull you can spot the flakes either in their replys or their posts.
