CNN: Trump says NATO allies agreed to boost defense spending after his pressure.

WRONG, don´t believe him. The states have already changed their policies before.

He is just lying for his base. He wants Americans and others (like North Korea) to see him as the great negotiator and successful leader who has forced the deadbeat NATO countries to cough up.

One of the big problems though, is that he effectively admitted that he was touting this spending as a way to drum up sales for US munitions and equipment. Get more countries to spend more of their GDP buying US planes, tanks, missiles, etc.

I don't even know where to start with today. It was as bad as I had feared.

He is playing to his base and to Putin.

But he is doing unbelievable damage to America's future role in world affairs.

Trump does not seem to realize that he is the President of everyone in this country, not
just the 40% or so that seem to think he is a king. He is truly an embarrassment to
our country with his irresponsible actions and words.

Germany hasn't lost a friend. Trump lost the election by 3,000,000,000 votes. However thanks to our antique electoral system, he won the White House. Most of us know who our friends are, and now we have to clean house.

That's interesting, we only have 325,000,000 people in our country.

I did not vote for Trump. Unfortunately he is my president now and I am embarrassed. Although I don't think that he will win the next election, I am disheartened by how many misguided Americans there are and I don't take his defeat for granted. I now realize that the Democratic Party doesn't necessarily represent the poor and working classes like it used to. It has a strong number of elites who are educated but don't understand the poor. Of course, the Republicans are even worse.

2004 we thought there is no way that Bush could be relected - but he won. That's why I'm not so optimistic. :-(

Democrats need to wake up. They still look shocked. They need new answers. Sanders and Clinton are too old. Pelosi has to leave.
I don´t think, the Dems will win the Senate, but maybe the House - and then?You can not just prevent. You have to shape it.
