Well she must be some of daredevil to drive so crazily in the most heavily-fortified district in the world. The government staffers shot her dead quicksmart.

It seems that an Arabic TV station were filming a placard-holder in the park in front of the Capitol (can't read the sign, presumably a goverment shutdown message) when all of a sudden the drama unfolds just down the path from them.


The full vid at CBS goes on for another few minutes, and shows the cameraman and reporter running up by the Capitol Building itself as armed police usher people away from the scene.

Makes sense, that's the main thoroughfare between the two.

At 1st St. and Constitution Ave., NW, on Capitol Hill, she hit a police cruiser with a policeman inside.

The vid shows a monument and circle in the background, so after checking street view, I've corroborated that the start of the vid took place at the President James Garfield Memorial, just near the Capitol Reflecting Pool.

After escaping the police, you then see her drive off, and towards the end of the vid, she's at another circle, leading the police a merry chase round and round the roundabout. This was (ironically under the circumstances) the monument called the Peace Circle. :lol:

Alhurra TV is funded by the US Congress and is part of the US State Department. They provide news and current events to people in the Middle East and Norther Africa. They were at the White House to report on the partial shutdown of the US Government.

They are are 'some Arabic TV station'.

According to most news reports she had mental problems.

Also, crazy is in the title of the thread, I merely repeated the word "Crazy woman tries to ram car into White House - Gets shot on Capitol Hill."

Some of you guys need to chill. Making an observation that the woman was black is not racist.
 
I wish that the word CRAZY didn't even exist in our language...

Mental health issues are REAL HEALTH issues...

And there is a HORRIBLE stigma associated with them -- so MUCH so -- that normal people can just write it off to...

well...

And yet -- AGAIN -- someone died today...

I USED the word to SUMMARIZE...

Kind of like the guy that shot up the Navy Yard in Maryland -- or the guy that TOLD the TSA in Miami that he had a bomb...

These are REAL people that have REAL problems -- and those problems are stigmatized to such an extent that they DON'T seek HELP for them as one would with a sore throat, etc...

That was my point...

No word has been censored. People simply pointed out that responding to the whole story with "crazy black woman" needlessly inserted race. And it did.

Someone MENTIONED it -- and EVERYONE else JUMPED on it...

Because MOST people don't want to consider mental health issues...

Its kind of like -- if we don't THINK about it -- it DOESN'T exist...

Yet -- it seems to be more and MORE prevalent in our society...

This is a sad story--especially when you see the little kid who was hiding in the back seat that the police discovered after they killed this 32 year old woman---I can't see why the cops had to kill her---I think cops could have wounded and disabled her and taken her in--clearly she had mental problems.
