That frequently happens in the case of severe, ongoing or unmedicated mental illness. When he reported to authorities more than once that she was a threat and was not on her medications, the failing was on a system that largely can't do much to intervene for mental health problems, not to blame on your racist insinuations about black family structures.

You can say that all you want, but unless you personally give 24-7 care to mentally disabled or mentally unstable people it's just you spilling a bunch of platitudes out of your mouth for other people to follow.

Husbands should be doing that not random gun-weilding officers in the most heavily-fortified district in the world.

Husbands don't provide psychiatric care for their wives suffering from severe mental imbalance. Many people cannot afford professional treatment in the U.S., and it is of very limited coverage under a typical insurance plan.

We've been through this already so if you have a point, make it.
 
You can repeat this until the cows come home. Grimshaw is wilfully incapable of understanding this simple concept. I think the point he is trying to make is that there is some kind of moral failure in all of this...that somehow mental illness is at the heart of all things...an issue of moral laxity, or some misguided, misogynistic principle that if a good strong man had taken charge and controlled his woman...all of this would somehow have been avoided.
