Credit Card Debt, Should I Tell Him?

Don't overthink it...

"Hah - the visa bill - the bane of my existence...(then with a big grin) you know I'm not actually cheap, right, just broke! lol... "

"Hey you know, now that I'm earning more money I'm paying down a lot of my debt and I'd like to celebrate getting it under control...so every time I drop my balance a thousand dollars, I'd like to take you out for drinks and dinner because you've been so patient while I've been bringing my finances under control." so you have something to look forward to, and something to work for.

So I got my tax return and was starting to pay off some bills. I was online looking at my account that has the majority of my credit card debt. The weird thing is my debt... is gone? I was looking at it and my credit limit is exactly the same as my available credit. It's showing $0.00 charge to the card. The activity histroy isn't showing anything. There must be a mistake or something. I'm sure that $7,000 of credit card debt wouldn't just disappear like that.

Uh. I think that is a pretty good guess.

You need to be more careful about your spending and the use of credit in the future.

You and the rest of the US, apparently.

Yes, question it. Don't assume it's gone, and go out and start racking up charges again. If it was paid off, there'll be a record of it being paid off.

So I found out what happen to my debt. Long story short, the bank had some issues with security and basically issued everyone new credit cards and account numbers. They final updated to have the new account and the tranfer balance from the old one.

Well I know this is off topic , but the OP should check out the forums on myfico.com. It is actually run by the people who make up your fico score and the forums are free. You should be more worried about your debt moreso than a new boyfriend. Good luck my friend! ..|
