I almost never use the word. I'd be concerned that it would offend someone who overheard. The last time I actually did use the word I was confronting one of the Fred Phelps picketers and, unfortunately, a proper middle-aged lady friend heard me and almost fainted. Of course, the Fred Phelps signs were just as nasty!

it's a great word but u gotta use it sparingly here in the u.s...it's like a radioactive bomb went off once u say it...plus, british and irish guys have a great accent for the word cunt that makes the word charming coming outta their mouths...us american men just sound like, well, cunts when we use it.
