I am a straight man, at least I believe so. I have a girlfriend who I am totally in love with, and I've never been attracted to any man. My problem is I love watching gay porn. It gets me so hard. Especially if its just two guys making out in their underwear. I dont know why, but it really gets me off. Would you say I'm bisexual?

No. Watching porn does not necessarily translate to everyday life. Porn is a fantasy which is different from reality. Also, arousal does not equate to attraction; you are aroused by the thought of watching two men together, but that is separate from being attracted to men you see in person. Does that help?

Umm, porn may be a fantasy but it's based on your attraction. The types of guys we watch in porn are the guys we like in everyday life.

It makes no sense for someone to say are aroused by two men, two REAL live flesh men on video, but not in person.

You being into guys in porn indicates that you are at least curious or somewhat bi. That's okay. Most guys are. Not that many are 100% straight or 100% gay.

That's not true. A person can be aroused by pornographic material and not be attracted to the people in the video. Being aroused by porn does not mean that he wants to have sex with men. It's not the same.

Pokaman, that makes no fucking sense. Has there been research done on this?

I'm sure you watch porn as we all do. We watch what turns us on.

If guys turn you on the screen, they will in real life.

But to help the OP, do guys in real life ever turn you on?

Well...I'll say this. Gay porn is better than straight porn because its 100% real. No fake hair, fake tits, fake orgasms, fake screams and moans. The guys involved are REALLY into it. They would probably do it for free. The chicks are just doing it for the camera basically and it comes off really fake. The guys are more intense. That's probably why u like it so much. That's why I like it better too. Me personally not attracted to genders but attracted to people as individuals. Ya know? Bisexual although I could never get with the gay thing because I can't understand why anyone would eliminate a source of pleasure and totally close themselves off from women forever. Wherever pleasure is, thats where I be (women or men) Hope ur doing ok. Peace.

Folks keep the HOSTILITY out of your replies.

Porn is a fantasy even gay porn and it certainly is not 100% real. there are plenty of gay for pay porn actors. they are not gay but they do it for money. there are certainly fake screams and moans and there is plenty of shaved, waxed, and manicured bodies.

just because you are attracted to something in porn, it does not mean that the types of folks you see in porn are ones you would be attracted to in real life. You might be, but you might not be. There is plenty of research on st8, bi, gay although the estimated numbers of each vary widely. be extremely skeptical when someone says "all" or "most" when referring to these types of things.

i do not think being aroused by gay porn makes you bi or gay. you may have a bit of an underwear fetish. or you just may be curious. but my advise is not to worry about labels. you are who you are regardless of what you end up liking or not.

Yeah but my point is when they cum its REAL. U can actually see it. The girls are screaming for the camera. Sounds really fake and u don't know if they are cumming or not.

Definitely have to disagree. I was watching a scene with two guys. Never once was there a look of any excitement on either of their faces and when I started to hear moaning and filthy talking I watched to see who it was coming from and neither were saying a word. It was all added in. I've actually seen more boring porn in gay then straight films. Though when they are good, they really are good.

I did study human sexuality at one point, so I know that there has been research done. Unfortunately, that was years ago so I could not quote the researchers. However, what was mentioned based off what I studied was:

1) Fantasy does not equate to reality.

2) Arousal is not the same as attraction; they are not interchangeable. A person can have be stimulated by an object or another person, but not have a desire to have sex with the object or the person. Unfortunately, many people believe that they are the same, which is incorrect.

As far as his observing porn, he does not necessarily have to be interested in the models. He could have an interest in a concept beyond simple male-to-male sex such as the fact that it is taboo.

I think a lot of people are aroused by stuff that would be frowned upon in their social group. There is probably an eroticism hat arises out of the forbidden nature of what you're viewing that probably drives your horniness, and also the fact that you can empathise with the physicality of the feeling the people in the porn are displaying.

I'm not one for labels personally. Compartmentalising your sexuality is hard to do when there are only inexact choices of names to choose from.

Techincally you're only bisexual if you want to have sex or regularly have sex with both men and women. As long as you only want to have sex with women you are as straight as you want to be. But people are unique, one label doesn't apply to all or even more than one in most instances.

In my experience, sex is sexual. Profound, I know. Any sex act viewed or thought about that doesn't turn you off would turn you on. Straight guys who talk openly with each other about subjects like masturbation become aroused, not because they are aroused by the thoughts of each other masturbating, but because they are thinking about something sexual. Maybe you prefer gay porn because there is no female actress for you to be attracted to and then feel guilty about that attraction. Gay porn is "safe" for you while still providing the sexual arousal because, as I said, it's sex.
