  • Hi Guest - Did you know?

Cut or Uncut?

One thing you won't have to worry about anymore is the endless washing, the repeated infections, and so on. (You don't have to wash a circumcised penis any more often than you would bathe.)

"Endless washing"? How long does it take you to wash your bellybutton in the shower? It takes about as much time to flip back the skin on a normal intact penis and give it once-over.

As for the "infections" comment... look, Circumcision isn’t a magic spell to banish infection and illness. The vast majority of men on earth (around 80%) are intact. Where is the legion of infected penises the pro-circ crowd keeps harping on about?

I'm cut and wish I wasn't. My guy is cut but does have a lot more extra skin(I guess you could say he's semi cut) than I do and I love it. I wouldn't trade him for anybody else but I do wish I had gotten to play with a fully intact guy before meeting him.

I didn't realize this was such a heated issue..

Hm.

Cut and I like cut more, but I won't shun an uncut guy – so long as his dick has been thoroughly cleaned. First uncut guy I was with smelled like piss down there and for a long time I was anti-uncut because of it. Now, just make sure those cracks and crevices have been introduced to soap, and I won't too much care.

I'm cut and have no regrets. I prefer any handsome guy with a nice personality, whether he is cut or uncut.

I'm cut and happy with it. I also echo eddielee's comment above.

I'm not cut (yet) and i like cut WAY WAY better.
When still in highschool I started to wear the skin pulled back all the time. At first it was almost unbearable - that's why I did it at school, so I coudn't stick my fingers in my pants & push the skin forward. It was sensitive to the point of being painful, not sexy or erotic.

After years of bare headedness it doesn't feel unusual anymore.
I'm keen to get it cut soon though, preferably very high & tight.

I take a shower twice a day and that's all. I don't understand where the "endless washing" comes in.

Agreed. Give me a guy with a good heart, manners, character, etc, and I'm yours forever. I'll paraphrase a brilliant post I saw in a dick size thread a while back >> If it's gotten to the point where I'm seeing you naked and hard, aren't I already satisfied with you? (And if I may add...) Now get over here, get on top of me, and pound me like you mean it, big boy. Now. :sex: Cut or uncut, I don't care, as long as he knows how to use it. (And if he doen't, I can teach him how... ;))

And as for me, there's a thread over in the Amateur forum showcasing what I've got. I love my gorgeous cut rod, and wouldn't trade it for anything.

Cut and absolutely prefer (require) cut in my partner. NOthing more beautiful than a long, fat, cut cock...wow. Some of the most delicious cocks are to be found in Israel and the US....

What I do wish, however, is that the anti-circ people would be a little less unkind in their choice of words. "Mutilated" and "butchered" are terrible things to say to a person, and those words always cause a nasty catfight, because the circumcised men respond with "nasty", "disgusting", "unclean", and so on. And then the moderators have to come in and clean up.

The phrase “Genital Mutilation” was coined by the US Government when congress created the Anti-Female Genital Mutilation laws in the 90s.

This law was passed despite the fact that the most common form of female circumcision is physiologically on par with male circumcision (removing the clitoral hood = removing the foreskin). This form of female circumcision comprises the vast majority of the procedures practiced annually around the globe.

Unlike male circumcision, there are several varieties of female circumcision.

Only about 5% of female circumcisions are of the total-genital removal we so often hear reported by the media, and thus most people imagine this is the only type of female circumcision. In truth, this extreme and obscure variety is limited to mostly the Sub Sahara.

In the greater majority of nations on earth, you can take your infant daughter to a hospital and have her circumcised just like you can do with your son in the Western hemisphere.

Personally, I agree with the US government that the word "mutilate" is a perfectly accurate description for the practice of strapping a healthy infant to a table and amputating a perfectly functional body part, leaving them scarred for life.

However, for purely politic reasons, I avoid using the word here. (Aside: I've never used the word "butchered" and I'd agree that it seems intentionally inflammatory.)

As for religious practices... I take a realists approach to the topic. The fact is, I do care about what happens to children within religious communities; not just in the way of circumcision but also in the way of limited education and stunted social growth (like the Amish). However, I also understand that no government in modern history has been able to legislate-away religious traditions and practices. It simply does not work. Instead, meaningful change must -- and can only -- come from within these communities.

To that end I support the various branches of rapidly growing Reform Judaism and Islam, many of which oppose the religious practice of infant circumcision. And that is as much as I feel I can effectively do, since I am not a member of either of these communities myself.

But on the topic of non-Religious and purely cosmetic Routine Infant Circumcision, I have a lot to say.

I don’t need to lie. I don’t need to invoke hyperbole or hysteria. I strive not to offer emotional charged prose.

I can summarize my position with a single phrase: My Body, My Choice.

Having said all of this: I don’t consider it my business if an adult wants to be circumcised for aesthetics, or needs to be for medical reasons. I don’t care if that adult is male or female. I also don’t care if they want to get tattoos. I’d not consider a mans circumcised status (whether done as an infant or an adult) important to how I feel about him.

All that is important to me is that adults leave children’s genitals alone and keep the knives away from them.

^ I also feel that the term "mutilated" is an unkind thing to say about female circumcision, too.
In my opinion, this is where the double-standard comes into play.

Here in the West, it is perfectly normal to refer to female circumcision as Genital Mutilation. The Government even created a law against it based on the term.

However, we still refer to the removal of an infant boy’s foreskin as “circumcision”; nice and polite, non-offensive, even normalized… despite the fact that the procedures are virtually physiologically the same.

I haven't commented much on that topic because I don't know much about it, but if it is as you say, viz., the removal of the clitoral hood, I don't see why people get so upset over it.
A lot of people view it as a violation of the individual's basic human rights.

It is nice to see that you've understood the wisdom of not using those words, though, Bearboi. So far, this is the only cut/uncut thread that I have ever seen that has not degenerated into a flame war.
My desire is to address points of dialogue sans lengthy and pointless shouting matches. If I have to avoid a single word to appease those whose sensitivities would otherwise make them unable to continue a civil dialogue, than so be it.

I never realized people could be "semi cut".

apparently when i was born some doctor decided my foreskin left too small a hole, which i guess could cause problems down the road. so they snipped a bit down one side to widen it, although it didn't actually remove any of the foreskin. as a result i look cut from one side and uncut from the other (!)

Doesn't matter to me, as long as they can use it right
