Cut or Uncut?

apparently when i was born some doctor decided my foreskin left too small a hole, which i guess could cause problems down the road. so they snipped a bit down one side to widen it, although it didn't actually remove any of the foreskin. as a result i look cut from one side and uncut from the other (!)

Doctors don’t know everything, especially circumcised doctors in the West. They just don’t have the experience with intact penises, I guess. (Their own or other guys.)

My neighbours are from Europe, and they brought their 1 year old son to the doctor for a routine check-up. They came home livid. The man had practically insisted that the child not leave his office without a circumcision. They explained that they are not Jewish or Muslim and the man responded that the baby’s foreskin was “too tight.” He proceeded to ‘prove’ this to them by trying to retract it (in their words, ‘yank it backwards’), which of course caused the baby to start screaming.

Why?

Because the foreskin is not supposed to be able to retract until the child is a toddler. One of its functions on a baby is to protect the still developing glans from sitting in urine and feces.

In my more cynical moments I wonder if some of these ardently pro-circ doctors just want to make a quick $200. Especially in this economy.

What I do wish, however, is that the anti-circ people would be a little less unkind in their choice of words. "Mutilated" and "butchered" are terrible things to say to a person, and those words always cause a nasty catfight, because the circumcised men respond with "nasty", "disgusting", "unclean", and so on. And then the moderators have to come in and clean up.

That's because many uncut guys grew up being made fun of by other kids. They say that a foreskin looks gross, ugly, disgusting, like an alien, etc. This leaves quite an emotional scar in some people, so if you'll notice, they're starting to give the cut guys a taste of their own medicine by telling them that they're butchered, a freak, ugly, mutilated etc.

It's just tit-for-tat BS.

If the foreskin can't retract, the urine will be trapped inside, against the glans. This can give the baby diaper rash, infections etc, so I can at least understand the ideology of they they want ti do it. But then again, they should be removing a baby's tonsils to prevent tonsillitis and Mononucleosis, while they're at it.

Fact: American doctors go to medical school for the money.

Fact: Most of that money goes to malpractice insurance and taxes, so they don't really get to see THAT much of it until they either set up a private practice (name your own price, accept cash) or retire.

Doctors, like anyone else, try to make money any way they can.

*turns the light off and quietly leaves, as to not interfere with lifelong debate, but looks back and screams* UNCUT AND LOVING IT BITCHES *and runs away*

enough already with this topics.. haha

I may not have worded my earlier statement clearly. What I meant is that the foreskin of a young boy is supposed to be tight against the glans, so the opening basically lines up with the urethra (pee hole) and there is virtually no room for waste to get trapped.

Excerpt from, "Care of the Intact Penis" by James E. Peron, Ed. D.

In a society where routine circumcision has been common for many years, even parents who choose to protect their sons from routine circumcision may have questions regarding hygiene of the intact penis.

Question: Should the young child's foreskin be retracted for proper cleaning? At what age should the child's foreskin be retractable?

* Leave the foreskin alone; wash only what is external and readily visible.
* Never forcibly retract your son's foreskin and don't permit anyone else to do so.
* Make certain your son's medical attendants understand his foreskin is not to be retracted or tampered with.
* Always stay with your son during his doctor visits and exams.
* When teaching the child to bathe and care for himself, let the child retract his own foreskin if he wants to. He will not retract it beyond the point of discomfort.

nah i couldn't retract until i was 13 or so, so i don't think that had anything to do with it. although i don't know for sure. but it doesn't really matter too much to me, it still works fine :)

Circumcised without my consent at birth.

Years spent restoring the cosmetic appearance of what I feel was wrongly taken from me.

Vocal opponent of preforming cosmetic surgery on children and lifelong advocate of the phrase, “My Body, My Choice.”

Prefer intact, full and complete penises. But I don’t hold it against a guy if he was circumcised against his will, or if he made the choice to have the surgery when he reached adulthood.

Wow, I'm surprised it took 18 posts for this thread to devolve into the mutilation debate.

People who think male infant circumcision is mutilation or wrong are retarded.

Cut and not by choice. But have cum adore uncut cocks with foreskin for docking.

Being uncut wouldn't keep me from dating/being in a relationship with someone, but strictly for hook-up purposes, cut all the way
I find uncut rather gross

Sir Ron is cut.

Sir Ron loves cock, ALL cock. Cut or uncut doesn't matter. Good cock is good cock! :D

I'm cut... I think cut has a nice look to it, except when soft. But it's not nearly as much fun soft, is it? :P
