Do any monsters from your childhood still haunt you, perhaps you still wake up sweating over Pennywise or Chucky, or perhaps the monsters were much closer to home ?

La Llorona is still scary af.

That creepy ass girl from The Grudge. That movie gave me nightmares for months

I was 16 when I read The Exorcist. The book scared the crap out of me and I slept with the lights on for weeks. This was even before they made the movie. To this day I refuse to see the film.

Another thing. I remember one Saturday morning when I was a kid. We were sitting around the kitchen table and there was an earthquake. I still have nightmares about earthquakes. I live in more or less constant fear of earthquakes.

I had to deal with real monsters...and they don't bother me anymore.

Today...zombies scare me...and lizard people annoy me....

I've dealt with my childhood monsters ages ago. They've all been laid to rest.

I still have the occasional dream about one of my friends from school who was murdered by a predator, he was only 14, the thing that i always dream about was "if only he had come with us".

Apart from that, like Willie, my childhood monsters have been put to rest.

Mine are all monsters from my adult years.

Zombies and lizard people? I see zombies every day. Most of them walking around with little boxes attached to their ears. And lizard people...... Many of them all over this world. I'd smack the lot of 'em down if they got in my way.

The thread title sounds like it wss describing Freddy

He didn't scare anyone?

I wore out a videotape fapping to John Depp.

I learned very quickly that they are only imaginary. Not real. Nothing to be frightened of

I have and had no childhood monster. I find myself more creeped out than flat out frightened, but yeah.

But I remember the original The Omen inflicts a permanent disturbance on my sleep rhythm and pattern. Funny enough, since nothing is actually scary about that movie.
