There have been thousands of ex-Disney 'children' who have grown into sensible adults without making asses of themselves on national television. Miley and Britney are NOT the norm. Miley (like Justin Bieber) is nothing more than an exhibitionist who gets away with it because she's a celebrity.

To be honest, I still don't understand why the whole twerking thing was that big of a deal in the first place either. The way people reacted to it I expected it to be a lot worse.

How is what Cyrus' doing any different to what Madonna was doing in the 80's? It's "artist" expression or smut selling but either way I don't see why she's coping such a bashing.

Miley isn't getting any more or less attention than anyone else who "did this." The difference is the tenor of the criticism.
