Your friend's dad has been using Oil of Olay for years. And a botox here and there never hurt either

Or his dad has the Benjamin Button syndrome (from the movie the Curious Case of Benjamin Button).

JotaroKujo, I don't think I have ever heard this before, comparing father and son, but all of my life, I have heard this comparison made for mothers and their daughters . . . and sometimes I have heard people say that the mother looks younger than the daughter. Yet I think since women wear makeup, it makes it harder to tell a woman's age. Yet since most men (who are not doing drag) do not wear makeup, I think it is easier to see age in men vs. women. Plus you hear those stories of women who are grandmothers at the age of 39 years old.

Now with that being said, if men have sons young (i.e. when they are in their teens and early 20's) and take very good care of their looks and bodies, I can easily see where a father could be mistaken as a brother, yet I can't say I have actually seen any such men myself . . . yet I know that they have to be out there.

I think the age gap is closing a little. Think about it. Guys in their 40's grew up watching MTV and thanks to the internet, we are all exposed to the same influences. People in their 40's are way younger in their mindset than in the past. Younger guys think that 40 is old but it's really not. With fitness, fashion and a healthy outlook you can appear younger.

No, my dad looks his age, has sun damaged skin, full male pattern baldness and smokes like a chimney. But my uncle who is 43 bizarrely looks like he is in his mid 20s: twinkish lean body, young face, not bald at all, reminds me of how Jared Leto doesn't look his age.

Im often asked if Im my oldest son's brother. Im 38, hes 20. My other kids are all 8 and younger and no one makes that mistake. I find it very flattering, my son is used to it.

goldengriff, is that you in your avatar? If so, then you do look very youthful, late 20s rather than late 30s.
