If you read my last blog entry, you know that I spent the night with my ex-boyfriend, Dave. You also know that I didn't tell my father...
He found out! Evidentelly, Dad ran into Dave at the bank (we all go to the same bank), and he told my father that he was going to win my heart back, because "Ron is still the best thing that ever happened to me." (his own words)
Well, the first thing Dad, (who I am more like than I am willing to admit), said to me on the phone that night was "What did you do to make him think that, sleep with him?"
I had no choice but to come clean, because I don't lie to my father.
He took it pretty well. He was disappointed that I rolled over and slept with my ex so easily. But he also warned me, as only a father can, to be on my guard...
Part of him is probably pleased. For the time Dave and I were together as a couple, Dad truly thought of him as a son. Dave got the same parental treatment that my brother and I did. And Dave used to tell me, all the time, that he loved my dad as much as, or more than his own.
Those of you that are wondering......Yes, several more times. He's not here tonight, but we are going to Batavia Downs Casino together, (with my Dad), tomorrow.
