Daft Punk

I'm kinda miffed by how god awful their last cd was. I heard that it was so shoddy because they were upset that one of their singles got leaked, so they made the new album crap out of vengence and spite.

But, I absolutely love Discovery! It's one of my favorite albums, and making it into an opera was so ambitious, and with a classic Japanese animator, no less!

That being said, Discovery is my favorite album, along with the compilation DVD of their music videos into a single disc opera, Interstella 5555, and favorite song has to Digital Love.

I think about it all the time. It's so romantic.

I only know discovery songs, and my favorite is one who is called "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" (or something similar, I don't remeber the words order) who is very... diferent

Have their Discography and I love One More Time (Extended Version)

Album before Discovery is called Homework. It's ok, though I prefer Discovery. Didn't like Technologic that much. Peaches did a more interesting cover of that single.

I loved Discovery when it 1st came out and the videos were great! I also remember 10 years ago when "Around the world" came out. I looked everywhere for the single and still have it. The video for that was cool with all the dancers dressed up in odd outfits like mummys.

So other people have covered most of their good stuff, but I still have something else to contribute.
If you like the the album "Homework", there is an excellent live album called "Daft Punk- Alive 1997". Unfortunately it is one 45min track, good for party or hitting the gym though.
The French duo is also about to release a movie titled "Electroma", more details and clips here http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/download/42132-daft-punk-ielectromai-scenes

Also there is a video of theirs on youtube for the song "technologic", is this just social commentary or an anti eating disorder video?

I quite liked Homework. Not everything on there, but enough.

Second album was good, but didn't have enough to get me coming back to it.

Didn't like the third album at all.

But I'd go out with Charles. He seems nice.

Oh sorry, the name of the song with the video in question is "prime time of your life".

I love Daft Punk. Discovery is probably my favorite album of the three. "One More Time" is stuck in my head periodically, usually once a month.

I like:

from homework:
- Burnin'
- Around the world

form discovery:
- Face to face
- Digital love
- Something about us
- One more time

from human after all:
- Robot rock
- Human after all
- Technologic
(makes you think about language and all the new words we use everyday)

The last album is not so easy-listening you got to be in a 80's-synth-africa-bambaata mood to actually enjoy it.

I loved the masks.
