Unfortunately walking very far is now a distant memory but as I can still drive I can get out and about.

^ No. It just means that walking is very difficult and dangerous for me now. I have very little balance now (no feeling in my feet) and am constantly trying not to fall down when I am on my feet.

I must admit that with a perfect place for this ritual, I have done very little of it on a daily basis...it was always one of the things that I thought I would do...take a stroll through different parts of the farm each day as a way of getting fresh air and exercise.

It either becomes a day of tearing out brush and cutting trees or looking out the window and thinking about doing it. The leisurely, gentlemanly perambulations just never have materialized. I really should probably get myself a fine dog that would encourage me to go for a ramble every day.

Yes, I have been taking one or two walks 6 or 7 days a week for several months since I became diabetic to try to loose weight. It did work for awhile, but not so much now. I need to both diet and exercise.

I sometimes think about training them to go for walks like we did with Buud & Rubee...but these two would be impossible to contain. I am sure they would love a retriever.

same here. Haven't had my constitutional yet today.
