Who watched the new Dallas tonight? I would give it a nine! Wow the chemistry of the show. Seeing Jr rise from the dead ( practically) was just awesome! Love the chemistry between Josh and Jessie ( John Ross and Christopher ) And I love "Marta" I sure like to know what she taped her and John Ross in bed for and he woke up with ropes and his Cowboy Boots on..hilarious! Oh and Jr face when he meet you know who at the end was classic Larry Hagman !
 
Truthfully, after the first 20 min. or so I was about to surf to another channel. (I mean, as easy on the eyes as Metcalfe is... It only goes so far...)

But then, the script started to get better.

It's a rare breed of show (and writing) where EVERYONE is trying to screw everyone else.

Cheesy and "soapy" ?

You bet.

But, it's looking like some breezy, fun Summer entertainment.

Think of it as "Revenge" set in Dallas instead of the Hamptons.

Corny as Kansas in August ? Yep. But there's no denying a trashy novel come to life is entertaining television.

I'm on board.
 
that scene of JR peaking out the window and seeing his boy ...and the expression on his face was hilarious! And that walker he was using at the party..just classic JR Ewing. Did you want to yell at the end between Jr. and Sue Ellen...RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN to her? My only question I have two...Where was Cliff? And come on Pam your son is getting married you could not make it?
 
I have a question..I have a feeling that video tape..its going to be really bad for John Ross. I mean come on if its average sex tape in these John Ross was use it show what a "man" he is..would not care. Even if there was some SM big deal, right. You think she might have brought in another man?

Answers to your questions. At one point, John Ross alluded to Cliff when he told Sue Ellen "you let that idiot Cliff Barnes run Ewing Oil", Almost word for word what daddy JR used to call him. At the end of the 1st version, Sue Ellen owns most of Ewing Oil.

Last I saw of Pam, she was nearly killed (hers & Bobby's unborn baby was killed) in a fiery crash (in her red Mercedes convertible) with an oil tanker. The last scene I remember, she was all "mummied up" & comatose. Victoria Principal wanted out, & uinlike Patrick Duffy, she didn't return in the shower. I don't think they killed her off, but even if they had, it's a soap, where death can be just temporary. See Stefano on DAYS, James Stenbeck on ATWT, Helena Cassadine & now Robin Scorpio (& both her parents!) on GH.

Night time soaps do it too. I doubt that Victoria Grayson is really most sincerely dead on REVENGE either

I'm waiting to see if they bring up Christopher's bio mother. Sue Ellen's sister Kristen (Mary Crosby, Bing's daughter). The "lady" (term used loosely, LOL) who DID shoot JR).

Agreed.

But, that brief scene of him taking the ropes off of his wrists spoke volumes.

She may edit it to look like he raped her, or something like that.

BTW, I'm not aware of any drug you can slip into a man's drink that can, A) Fuck him up immediatly, B) Give him the energy to "last all night" and, C) Leave him with no memory of the event.

But, "reality" has little to nothing to do with this show.

But I guess that's half the fun.

Oh, Im SURE she's not...

I went back and watched the last part of that final episode again, and whiile it shows her walking up the steps to the plane, you never actually SEE her boarding it.

My guess is season 2 will open with her noticing what's his name removing the wheel stops on the runway and making a bee's line in the opposite direction.

As to whose bodies were found in the wreckage, who knows ?

All I know is that ABC has a hit show on it's hands, (whose writing staff seemed to change hands midway through - hence the long break) and they're not about to mess with the "chemistry" of the characters now.

But, back to Dallas. :-)
