Comstock Films' DAMOM AND HUNTER: DOING IT TOGETHER has been selected for the 2006 CineKink Film Festival, going on October 17-22 at the Film Anthology in New York, NY.

DAMON AND HUNTER: DOING IT TOGETHER is the third in an ongoing series of documentaries from New York based director Tony Comstock. Comstock's films explore the real and vital role that sexual pleasure plays in binding couples' relationships. In this case, the couple in question are long time lovers Damon DeMarco and Hunter James, and the film centers around an explicit portrayal of Damon and Hunter making love.

In July DAMON AND HUNTER was name Best Documentary at the Melbourne Underground Film Festival in Melbourne Australia, but was subsequently banned by the Australian government from showing a the 2006 QueerDOC Gay and Lesbian Film Festival held this September in Sydney Australia.

Says director Tony Comstock, "I've long known that by making a movie like DAMON AND HUNTER I was charting a course toward making films that would ask provocative questions about collision of sex and the moving image, and personal freedom and the boundaries of the legitimate role of the state. But in all honesty, I never expected DAMON AND HUNTER would be the one to bring these issues to the fore. It's a very tender-hearted film, there's really nothing "controversial" about it in anyway, save the fact that we actually see what physical love between two men looks like in intimate detail. I can't think of a better way to get over the disappointment of not having the film screen in Sydney than by having our hometown premiere at CineKink!"

Comstock Films produces award-winning, documentary-style erotic films that explore and celebrate the connection and chemistry of real couples having real sex. Comstock Films titles have enjoyed worldwide recognition as outstanding achievements in cinema, appearing in festivals and taking home prizes in Canada, Australia, Sweden, Germany and here in the US.

Other Comstock Films titles include MARIE AND JACK: A HARDCORE LOVE STORY , named Best Documentary and Best Overall at the 2002 SinCine New York Erotic Film Festival and Best of the Fest at the 2002 Sexual Health and Pleasure Film Festival; XANA AND DAX: WHEN OPPOSITES ATTRACT , named Hottest Straight Sex Scene at the 2006 Emma Awards for feminist porn in Toronto, Canada; and the soon to be released MATT AND KHYM: BETTER THAN EVER , Comstock Films' first shot-on-film, anamorphic widescreen title featuring a straight couple.

This is starting to border on Spam, dude.

we get it.. you made a gay movie.

And 89 posts about it.

Tony Comstock uses the boards at JUB to promote his movie, and Soilwork accuses him of spam!

Soilwork has made 10,943 posts to promote HIS flicks!

Pot calling the kettle black?

you know what?

Peace.

I give up.

yes, I think that maybe Tony could use JUB for more than just promoting his movie, but not everyone has the need to join into every conversation. Tony IS a straight film maker, and maybe doesn't feel like he wants to take part in a gay board (and maybe doesn't feel welcome... if so that's our fault and not his), and since he HAS made his first foray into gay films, I guess I can give him the benefit of the doubt.

And it IS nice, as I've said in the past, to see an adult film maker defend his work so strongly.

So Tony... where's it showing next?

(and if I may make a suggestion, I find my Fratmen posts get more traffic and views and replies both postive and negative if I include some stills and maybe video link... Just a word from the weary)

Jasun... you are awesome and your posts are awesome...

Pan-Am... Soilwork's post aren't spam because they are not mass advertisements, he is giving content direct to JUB.com... it is for us... he's not hitting a bunch of different forums with links that don't really give us anything... you ought to be thankful, not being a jerk... each post he puts up usually has 9 - 12 GOOD pics... and if people request old pics he usually always posts it for ALL JUB.com members to see... there is a big difference between Soilwork's posts (which alot of times are him commenting and participating in the forums, not promoting Fratmen) and spam... this film add is spam because all it is is a mass ad for the film

I tried to post some pictures once, but it didn't seem to work. Figured it was a 2257 issue.

Anyways....

I am very pleased to announce that not only will PjurUSA be underwriting our posters (which I will try to post here once the artwork is finalized), they will also be providing a sample bottle of Pjur Eros Bodyglide to each and every person attending the DAMON AND HUNTER screening at the CineKink Film Festival this October 21, 8:30PM, at the Athology Film Archive in New York City!

I will be at the screening. In fact it's very likely that me and my wife be the ones handing out the Bodyglide at the end of the show. I do hope that if anyone from here (JUB) is at the show, you come up and say hi!

You are so right on this one. And Soil's siggie is by no means just another 'fratmen advertising immpression' as they call it in marketing...

Pigs fly, I am a virgin and have never been with a man before...

Nothing wrong with promoting your stuff. No one forces you to go to any of his links and no one forces you to watch fratmen either.

Thank for explination and the well-wishes, John!

I'm really sorry you miss the MUFF screening, especially in light of recent conversations I've had with the festival director of the Melbourne Queer Film Festival. She had been keen on showing DAMON AND HUNTER, but now that the film is on the OFLC radar, she doesn't doesn't think they could get away with it without the boot coming down. Grrr.

NY will be my first chance to see this film anywhere other than in my studio. I've had films show at this theatre before. It's a nice house, and it should be a lot of fun!
