I'm definitely not rooting for Shandi. I know her from the Game Show Network, and she's an ultra-conservative republican with a really nasty attitude (e.g., constantly referring to people as "retards"). I hope she's one of the first to go.
 
I am less inclined to watch due to Cheryl coming back for a third season. Unless she is given someone as bad as Tucker Carlson was last year, i'm not sure I plan to watch. She paraded Emmitt around and designed routines not as hard as Mario's (from someone who TEACHES ballroom dancing). That way she got football fans and teams more into him. Other than that, I really don't care as I know little about any of them.

Oh, except Shandi and Chuck pick favorites on Lingo and do all they can to help them win, such as talking to extend the play clock, or giving one team less time to answer than they are supposed to have. That makes me not so sure that I want her to win. But, if she is a good enough dancer, then I hope people vote based on dancing as they did when Drew won.
 
I'm kind of curious to see how Apolo Anton Ohno dances. If he can move on the dance floor half as good as he does on the ice, he'll be a sure winner.

I really want to see Heather Mills. Although I feel bad for her that people are placing bets on whether or not her leg falls off.
 
I can't wait. I love cheryl burke. Shes a Great dancer. this should be a good season . just wondering how heather mills will do? if shes good put her through if not sent her home. we dont need another master p. i hated to see on other message boards that people were just votingfor him to piss others off.
 
I can't wait, although I am so sick of the TV commercial where Heather Mills says she hopes she doesn't lose her leg.
 
I wont be watching the entire season mainly because it conflicts with Prison Break.


I am only tuning in tonight to see the one foot woman dance, as are many other people, out of sheer curiousity.
 
Watching this now, it's apparent that Leeza Gibbons and Billy Ray Cyrus have ABSOLUTELY no dancing talent.
 
So far, Leeza and Billy Ray suck.

Leeza has such a likable personality, though... I hate to say that she sucked!
 
For those who missed it, Heather Mills danced perfectly. Her leg stayed in place and she danced as if she had no problem. Her scores were respectible and she did not come in last place! She has won me over.
 
Heather surprised me as well. In the press, she's portrayed as a bitch, but she seemed nice and likeable.

I think the three worst were (in this order)
1. Billy Ray Cyrus
2. Leeza Gibbons
3. Clyde Drexler

I think the three best were:

And Billy's paired with Karina! noooooo....I want more Karina. At least Maksim's got someone to work with.

It seems like the music and choreography is so loosely ballroom this first show...at least the cha-chas were not really cha-chas at all.

Hopefully Heather Mills stays on for a while...
 
I'm surprised to hear positive feedback on Heather Mills. In the British press they say she's getting a mauling from the American public (but then the British press, and the British in general, don't like her).

So there are some who don't like her. Then again I can't tell where you're from so you might not be an American slating her.
 
I'm trying to not be biased against Heather. Macca is one of my favorite celebrities, and artists, and I initially didn't like her, but...she's inspiring. I like her
